  2. Pretty much, yes. At its core this is following ONE account, then being recommended accounts that have interacted a lot with that account, and then being recommended accounts that have interacted a lot with those.

    Instagram is not this massive omniscient AI that actually understands what is written on the accounts. Nor is Facebook. Nor is Youtube. It is just a collection of "People who liked this also liked ..."

    Not to mention there are roughly 55 million people in Britain, and the original vote was close to a 50-50 split. Until you show 30 million or more unique votes to cancel Brexit it doesn't mean anything other than "People opposed are still opposed, news at 11."

    So you enjoy juggling all those subscriptions. Good for you.

    Some people want to just sit down and watch something without first having to figure out which service is active today and what is actually on that service.

    That's where torrenting comes in.

    It's sad, really. Netflix was THIS CLOSE to winning over piracy because people don't inherently WANT to be criminals ... but then everyone got greedy and wanted their own cake instead of a slice of the cake and here we are, torrents are once again becoming the optimal solution because they're hassle-free. For most people, avoiding hassle is the goal.

    They don't need to compare to billing; they only need to compare to a map of the US showing where all the residential areas are. Wherever there are people but no telemetry it would be safe to say there's probably a lack of connection - at least to the point of going there to check the speed manually.

    I haven't watched the speech, and I don't know how the watch works, but if it doesn't ring I assume it buzzes. He may have just moved to stop it, glanced at the display like you would a watch or anything you are about to interact with, and seen it as a robocall. I recall reading the Pixel will show a warning of SUSPECTED SCAM, so why wouldn't the iOS equivalent?

    Not really. You also memorize a whole bunch of things for exams, but that doesn't mean you have actually learned how to put that knowledge to use in a real scenario. It's the whole problem at the core of teaching to the test.

    The fact that you can only ever play the game through this service and do not obtain a permanent standalone version for your own machine, 'leasing' is the closest term we have.

    Not to mention that if you pause your movie to go make some dinner, visit the bathroom, walk the dog etc. then your download is paused.

    If you pause your game for the same reason you stream the pause screen for that long.

    As I seem to recall, pi to 12 digits allows you to pinpoint any point in the UNIVERSE to an atom's margin.

  25. My monthly possible download is around 100 GB, and that's maxing out the connection so I can do nothing else in the meantime.

    This is absolute bullshit and a clear assumption that everyone is sitting on uncapped fiber connections today. If you don't then your money clearly isn't good enough for this company.
