Now that people are used to having, say, a 15 GB per month cap and paying more if they go over it, do you REALLY BELIEVE the telcos will up it to, say, 50 GB per month before you have to pay more just because they switch to a more efficient technology?
The mouse button switches on the M/570 trackball mouse wear out after 4-6 months for me, particularly the right mouse button. I really wish there was an alternative with the same form factor, but alas.
The most expensive German mobile broadband connections have a 15 GB data cap per month, after which you get throttled to 64 kbps for the remainder of the month.
My current ADSL connection maxes out at 448/96 kbps thanks to being too far from the DSLAM, so a 100 mbps mobile broadband connection would be very welcome so I can experience things like Skyping, Netflix-And-Chill, playing games while my friends are still playing them etc. - but it depends a LOT on the monthly cap!
You say you knew about the picture for decades before Facebook existed. That's great. That's how we learned about things BACK THEN.
The world has changed. You may not like it, I certainly don't like it, but when a sizable portion of the population only really visits Facebook and relies on Facebook for news, events, all that sort of stuff, ANY kind of censorship is getting dangerously close to revisionism.
There is not much difference between the main source of information, be it BREAKING NEWS! or cat videos, saying "There was no naked Vietnamese girl running from a napalm attack" or saying "There was no protesting student run over by a tank on Tiananmen Square".
To be fair we only know one side of the story. Is it that hard to believe that Sarah K. is one of those people that aren't satisfied unless the car unlocks itself magically as she's reaching for her phone to dial the locksmith?
To me, it seems likely that Apple wanted to switch to Bluetooth - but only if they could control the bluetooth market to a certain degree. So they bought Beats because they wanted to change, but if they hadn't been able to buy Beats (or whatever competitor there may be) they might not have replaced the jack after all.
The businesses probably argue that the H-1B workers have the TECHNICAL skills they need, and the training is more of a list of "This is what we've already done, this is why we did it" etc. since you can never hire a new worker, domestic or foreign, that instantly knows everything that's already been done on a project.
Maybe I'm just old and boring, but I really don't like the way that being dead is no longer the end for appearing in new things you never knew about. Between the holographic appearances of... was it Tupac? And now this, it all just feels a bit too morbid to me.
Please try to Google for the sentence "Can't scan with no ink" and look at all the results. Then come back here and say that again with such certainty.
The reason I specifically said 'cyan' ink was because that should never, never be needed for anything that has to do with black and white, not printing and certainly not SCANNING.
What happened to sending in the robot with a bomb to kill the suspect?
Please try reading the summary again, dude.
They used to work for Fox. Fox is the aggressor here, not the poor widdle guy trying to defend himself against big bad Netflix.
That sounds suspiciously like that old 0.02 cent problem. Wasn't THAT Verizon as well?

A couple of years? Consider yourself lucky.

... Will convert for internet.
What kind of data caps are we looking at here?

Be very careful what you allow.
The mob patented hired killings.
Are you SURE you want to get in a patent dispute with the mob?
Video blocked in Germany for copyright reasons. Yay free world.

"Imma let you finish, but I just wanna say that Bayern Sea has the best fish of all time."
So they're hiring autists, who generally have trouble communicating with other people, to do sales?
How much of Microsoft's programming is done internationally, and how much in the US where they have their headquarters?
Yeah, you're probably right on this.

Hey, if we don't require the virgins to be straight it gets a lot easier to reach the quota.
There is nothing brief about it.
"We are just trying to fill our quota of non-white workers."
Oh god I can see a company actually using that justification.

Wait, are you saying humans have destroyed NO Tesla cars yet?!
Who did they hire to build them, NOKIA?!

And what exactly are YOU doing in the various fields of science?
Okay, I admit it. I did not know that was an actual word.
Really. Discomfiting. That just ...
Sigh.
On topic, how much of this information is actually siloed away, and how many of these apps are just a browser wrapper a la the Facebook app?

So conventions of spelling, sentence structure and such don't apply on the internet?
You know, that explains SO MUCH.
