I don't have a link, it was durning a press conference I watched on TV last tuesday evening he was talking about the execellent work that his father and clinton had done for the Tsunami victums and, naturally, pooched it and said the above instead saying that they'd helped the victums of the Tsunami, he said they were helping the victums of our relief. It took my friend and I a second to realize what he'd just said and then we burst out laughing
One thing that I would like to know is, how many times has this type of thing happened in the past. This launch is being picked over with a fine tooth comb. Every little slip up, "what if" "wups" "oooh my" and "doh" is being throw out into the press.
Although what we are hearing from the press is slightly disconcerting. We really need to ask how much of this is news 'hype' and how much is really stuff we need to worry about.
Considering the Media today, and the fact that it sounds like NASA has already cleared it to launch again, this sounds like it was blow out of porportion.

Bah! there was a lot more than just trading, my fav. pasttime was being a pirate then going bounty hunting for bounty hunters:D. Either that or you can get jobs killing pirates, running escourts missions.. Trading is what you do when you're a sissy and can't afford to buy the big guns!
It has to be said, did they set the CRM-114 to discriminator to OPE or some other arrangment of P,O,E cause ya'll know unless you specify the code prefix you can't recall the spam and the doomsday device will go off.. cause that spam can get in there real low, I mean if the spammer is _really_ good he can fly, er send that e-mail right under their radar
On a more serious note I have to agree with tempest.. It's unfortunate that someone decided to create this virus, and cause anyone in IT (who supports windows boxes) to have to deal with it. At the same time they make the linux community look bad to people who take what they read in the news at face value. Which I'm sad to sad is most likely a large percentage of people...
You could almost argue that it was created by a Anti-Linux user as a way of discrediting the linux community...:(
I don't think it's all about a winner or a loser. As some others have pointed out each distro has it's quirks. This will show raw speed, as well as how it was accomplished, but there are plenty of other reasons to pick one over the other... Preference of package management, security, easy of maintaince. setup time etc and so forth. I personaly can't wait to see how this turns out...
Maybe, maybe not.. that's the point of this exercise. Each distro gets a chance to optimize as much as possible.
The nice thing about is everyone has to share what they did to make it faster...
As a debian user, I can't wait to see what they do..

I'm sure there is a transcript somewhere...
It's good to know that microsoft is doing their part in, to quote our great president, "Helping the Victums of our Relief"
Another bushism that was a simple slip, but rings so very true...

Everything always gets outdated... I'm still holding out on getting a car. I figure I'll wait for one of those quantum teleporters...
