    After logging in, it would go back to sleep and be very difficult to wake up using a combination of closing and opening the lid or getting impatient and doing a data losing hard restart

    Maybe is has Narcolepsy or itn't getting a restful nights sleep.

    Politicians spend money for power, Democrat Pork is the same as Republican Pork. Don't kid yourself that Democrats spend money all this money on social programs, college aid, etc.

    The only difference between a D and an R is where that letter falls in the alphabet.

    That is one of the silliest things ever. So if I understand your complaint you are tired of your local taxes going up because the Feds won't raise taxes on you? I would MUCH prefer to pay more taxes locally, at least then I have a pretty good idea the money is being used to support the people, places and things around me and not some stupid pet project like the Bridge to Nowhere http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravina_Island_Bridge , or http://www.americansforprosperity.org/index.php?id =1202 the Waterfree Urinal Conservation Initiative.

    Last I checked humans aren't an endangered species. I think people have lived a few more years without AC than with. If you die because you can't be in a climate controlled temp of under 80 F, I think you were holding on by a thread anyway.

    I grew up in upstate NY very near Canada too. I recall in 1976 we had a very warm winter and a green Christmas. I also recall years where it snowed in October, and years there was snow on the ground in late April. 30 years isn't a very long time to judge climate change, especially when you use something as subjective as memory for your measurement record.

    I was there. Pretty tough life. We had to walk to school, in the methane atmosphere, carrying books made of granite, avoiding lava-flows and meteor strikes, up hill, both ways. You kids of today have it easy!

    You do realize you contradict yourself. You claim you couldn't load eMusic songs on an iPod because it is a closed system (which is false). Then you say iPhone users can just subscribe to eMusic and independent of AT&T and load them on the iPhone, you know the closed system "iPod phone".

    I used to think the same thing. I had a Comcast DVR and thought why the hell would I ever pay more for a TiVo? Then I talked with my 65 year old mother

    So first off I looked around to see if Bizzaro-Superman was standing there because I had obviously fallen into Bizzaro world. A quick pinch of the skin and an exhaustive look around for large green pods I had to come to the conclusion this was reality

    After seeing what she was doing with her TiVo; I went home, ordered a Series 2, and called Comcast. I told them to come pick up this Motorola pices of shit DVR, and I've lived happily ever since. I now own 3 TiVo boxes (2) series 2's and a series 3.

    Works great for me. With the predictive typing /spell checker, I can type much faster than I ever could with my Treo.

    He isn't doing anything wrong, OSX runs well on older hardware.

    I have a G3-333 Blue and White tower with 384M of RAM from 1998 that runs Tiger now. It boots slow but once running is adequate. That is a whole lot slower that the G4 he is talking about.

    Show me a comparable PII that runs XP?
