People always try to blame the software right away but usually it's poor administration.
Windows is near-flawless in terms of security.
Sound familiar?
Log in as >console (either by enabling type in user to log in or by going to the login within and hitting the left arrow, then option enter (I think)). Log into an account when it prompts you. Type startx.
The original Myst was written in HyperCard, which is an interpurated language, and it also used a closed source C custom color API for HyperTalk. In other words, even if they did release the source, it was written in an Apple IDE that was abandon many years ago and never made it to OS X, not to mention the color code compiled for the Mac 68k.
I'm really tired of these kind of posts as a Mac user. It's not our job to prove Mac OS X to you. Want to find out if it's for you? Go out and try with it. Play with it. If it's not for you, stick with what works for you. If you like it, buy a Macintosh.
That proof shows Apple's driver does not support Palladium. It only supports trusted computing, which is about as advanced as a hash maker. And it's not like the OS doesn't already have tools to make hashes.
Depends. The x86 machines were faster on PowerPC Firefox than actual PowerPC machines. I expect some applications will be sluggish, but most applications should move over quickly. I was in a the porting lab at WWDC, so I had a pretty good view of which apps were being moved over.:)
I think Apple has a problem with programs taking AAC files that are Fairplay enabled, breaking the DRM on them, and moving them to PocketPC. The software you are linking to was never taken down by Apple.
Huh? Plenty of applications sync iTunes to PocketPC, and they haven't been sued. I can think of Mark/Space right off the top of my head. They're well back by both Palm and Apple.
a) The G5 uses a different bus. You will never get on in your Powerbook b) You'll want to update to an x86 Powerbook. They'll probably offer far better performance and better software compatibility, and they can also run software for this little known OS called Windows.
Or they could not and make more money? Seriously... Look at it this way. You'd have to buy more movies to more than make up for the price cut they're giving you. Otherwise, why are they going to sell it cheaper? You'd have to buy more than twice as many movies for them to make up for cutting the cost. Would you really do that? The movie companies have people who sit around all day and figure out the price points to make these companies the most money. Basic Microeconomics. Figuring out the best price point so it's cheap enough people will buy some of it, but expensive enough to generate the most profit. Making things cheaper is not some magical way to more profit, even if consumers do buy more. These are movie companies folks, not movie charities. If they thought they could make more money by cutting prices, they would have by now.
I use my Microsoft mouse with my Mac and all four buttons work with no drivers. And hey... Whats that next to a cd-rom in the Macintosh Finder? Is that an eject icon? Hey! I click the eject icon and the cd ejects. One mouse button was all I needed.
Let me let you in on a little secret.
Take the cd. Drag it to the trash. It pops out! Amazing.
Even better, Apple already included a nice hidden little program...
Open/System/Library/CoreServices/Menu\ Extras/Eject.menu and you get an Eject menu in your menu! Amazing!
And hey! If you want to delete songs from your iPod, you switch it from autosync to managed! That way your computer knows you don't want to keep it in sync with the music collection on your computer!
You have a great point. A lot of people just take Windows and replace Windows Media Player with iTunes... Obviously Apple bundling iTunes is stifling innova... oh... wait..

Apple's buy a new one attitude?
For $60 I traded in my 2 year old iPod for a new one simply because the battery was not working like it used to.
That's damn good support.
Huh? You do know Source is heavily based on Havok, right?
After a few years it got ported into another multimedia sort of shell.

Could this be used to make a smarter spam filter?
The DS isn't a portable N64. It just happens to have a few N64 games ported to it. The hardware is a different architecture.

However Mac got World of Warcraft and Unreal at the same time as Windows.
If Apple moves to Intel chips they won't be on the same architecture as the PS3 anymore and won't be compatible.

UNIX is gaining marketshare. Especially this one little known UNIX distribution called Mac OS X.

It's a 3.6 ghz P4...
Intel can produce in large enough volume. AMD can't. Simple as that.
Hacked and thrown together? Like.... uhhh... Linux?

No, the machines do not have PS/2. There are legacy free.
