Is it just me, or is there always a lot of 'well, they did the best thing they could at that time and they've learned their lesson', every single time one of the atrocious war crimes committed by the USA is brought up?

Actually, i'm canadian. The states does economic attacks on us all the time. They keep stealing our money and then actually sue us about it, they're raping BC and we, of course, can't seem to do anything about it. I'm sure we're going to have to really start fearing the states if we ever stand up to them. Ever notice that all other countries concede things to the states to keep them happy? It seems the countries with the most to fear right now, are the ones where the gov'ts were put into power or 'helped' along by the states, or the ones where the corporations are raping their land, god forbid you live in a drug producing company. That's the funniest, the US war on drugs, they keep thinking the problem is because of all these other countries, but can't see that it's THEIR citizens who are dealing/using the drugs. Have you seen some climate change scenarios the US gov't is interested in? Suprisingly it's mostly military. Of course canada doesn't really figure into them. They know that if they really need our oil/gas/water they can easily take the west coast and we would just stand by and watch. Ever hear of NAFTA?

Anybody who watches US news and then watches news from almost any other country in the world can easily see where all the 'fear' and 'terrorism' comes from. If terrorists are people who put the fear of terror into people then i would look at the US gov't and the US media as the #1 terrorists in the world. Not to mention that they actually HAVE WMD's.

actually, it has more to do with the visual pathway. There's a time dilation effect and the process your brain goes through to assemble the world outside slows down. Hence the reason that if you stare at a complex pattern certain visual elements will stand out in a sequence,i.e., first horizontal bars, then diagonals, swirls, etc... not that specific order though. Anyways, like most vision, your brain takes the info it has, and applies all it's top-down processing algorhythms to determine what it is you're looking at. For any interested parties out there, stare at complex geometric patterns to achieve a hallucination instead of blank walls. LSD would be very helpful in vision research as well as other sensory research as it's easy to break down the system into it's many components.

If you think revenge is the answer you totally missed the point of why the attacked the two towers. Maybe you should take a hard look at your culture and try and examine it from the point of view of their culture. They are not just 'terrorists' as your media would leave you to believe. They are trying to preserve their culture and other cultures as well, from the very real threat of american culture. They are in fact, fighting for their lives, and actually trying to make americans aware of what it is that they are doing. I think TOO many people missed this. Remember they are humans as well, and tend to have reasons for their actions. Their reasons are culturally defined, just like the US reasons are culturally defined as well.

I dunno, if people came to my country and started blowing up people, i'd do exactly the same to them anyway i could.

Seriously, there are way to many responses about drugs. The thing that helped me the most is understanding how my body and mind work. Yoga is probably the easiest way to do that, you get tons of feedback from your body. I can notice any changes in my breathing, muscle tension, posture, and thought patterns. You could do just meditation which would help with ADD since you learn to quiet your mind, but yoga has the added benefits of being able to quiet your body. I would STRONGLY SUGGEST this to ANYONE with ANXIETY PROBLEMS. Seriously, people who are anxious tense up and breath differently. Once you can spot that and loosen up the correct muscles then bye bye anxiety. Oh, and diet. Can't forget diet. Remember you are what you eat and in our societies we're mostly garbage. Remember, your body was developed over thousands of years to run on certain types of fuels, it did not evolve to run on hydrogenated oils, pesticide/herbicide residues and mcdonalds!
