Is it just me, or is there always a lot of 'well, they did the best thing they could at that time and they've learned their lesson', every single time one of the atrocious war crimes committed by the USA is brought up?
Maybe because it 'bridges' earth and whatever is going to be on the other end?
Besides, who knows how it's going to be attached at the other end. It might be going up from our perspective, but it could be going horizontal when it comes into the space station or whatever they build at the end.
Actually, i'm canadian. The states does economic attacks on us all the time. They keep stealing our money and then actually sue us about it, they're raping BC and we, of course, can't seem to do anything about it. I'm sure we're going to have to really start fearing the states if we ever stand up to them. Ever notice that all other countries concede things to the states to keep them happy?
It seems the countries with the most to fear right now, are the ones where the gov'ts were put into power or 'helped' along by the states, or the ones where the corporations are raping their land, god forbid you live in a drug producing company. That's the funniest, the US war on drugs, they keep thinking the problem is because of all these other countries, but can't see that it's THEIR citizens who are dealing/using the drugs.
Have you seen some climate change scenarios the US gov't is interested in? Suprisingly it's mostly military. Of course canada doesn't really figure into them. They know that if they really need our oil/gas/water they can easily take the west coast and we would just stand by and watch.
Ever hear of NAFTA?
HAHAHHAHAHA, that's too funny. Is that why the states went out and destroyed iraq??? oops, wrong country.
Anybody who watches US news and then watches news from almost any other country in the world can easily see where all the 'fear' and 'terrorism' comes from. If terrorists are people who put the fear of terror into people then i would look at the US gov't and the US media as the #1 terrorists in the world. Not to mention that they actually HAVE WMD's.
actually, it has more to do with the visual pathway. There's a time dilation effect and the process your brain goes through to assemble the world outside slows down. Hence the reason that if you stare at a complex pattern certain visual elements will stand out in a sequence,i.e., first horizontal bars, then diagonals, swirls, etc... not that specific order though.
Anyways, like most vision, your brain takes the info it has, and applies all it's top-down processing algorhythms to determine what it is you're looking at. For any interested parties out there, stare at complex geometric patterns to achieve a hallucination instead of blank walls.
LSD would be very helpful in vision research as well as other sensory research as it's easy to break down the system into it's many components.
So because you learned to experience something new and don't need a catalyst for this is a bad thing?
Reality is a state of mind, what the other poster stated is correct. However if you believe a bad trip is the end of the world, then it certainly will be.
If you think revenge is the answer you totally missed the point of why the attacked the two towers.
Maybe you should take a hard look at your culture and try and examine it from the point of view of their culture. They are not just 'terrorists' as your media would leave you to believe. They are trying to preserve their culture and other cultures as well, from the very real threat of american culture. They are in fact, fighting for their lives, and actually trying to make americans aware of what it is that they are doing. I think TOO many people missed this. Remember they are humans as well, and tend to have reasons for their actions. Their reasons are culturally defined, just like the US reasons are culturally defined as well.
You mean to say that you didn't notice a shift in media reporting after Paul Martin became prime minister? After he came into power the media was more consistently on the side of the american military action in iraq, making comments about how the poor americans were being killed by iraqi's using 'unfair' tactics. I dunno, if people came to my country and started blowing up people, i'd do exactly the same to them anyway i could.
All the time:) Maybe it speaks more to your ability to read sheet music. Just because YOU require someone else to make the music come alive does not mean the performance is primary.
you think the problem might have had something to do with them using a ball???
When a projectile underwater breaks the sound barrier it goes faster not slower, can't see why the same thing wouldn't happen in the air.

hmm, so you're saying they didn't force them. Let's see, basically it can be summed up as 'pull your packages or we'll be forced to change our licence and nobody will have access to it'.
hmm, listen, you pay me $10,000 and i won't release those picture's of your spouse screwing some other person.
Why do you say this? It's english not french. Are you stupid? Are americans stupid? I believe it's english speakers that are obsessed with using bodily functions as swear words, french people use the catholic church.
No we don't you idiot. Our official date format is dd/mm/yyyy. This is the problem with living so near the states. Just like everybody still reports things in pounds and inches.
I second this. I still do not understand why people PAY a bank to make money off of their savings and get interest rates below inflation. I'm suprised RBC is still in business, then again, it might be that $15 they charge to close your account!!
Actually, you've just given the worst reason. We send our good quality beef/grain/produce to the states to make money. Then the supermarkets buy the crap (and i do mean crap) from the states to feed our citizens. We have got to be one of the stupidest countries out there.
But hey, selling (or in some cases just giving it away) of our raw resources to the states has kept them from getting to pissed off at us and just taking them. Water and electricity anyone?
the only problem with this is, of course, who else is the states going to buy from??? People who spout this nonsense seem to forget that the canadian dollar isn't actually going anywhere. It's the states that is actually dropping the value of their dollar so every currency(major ones at least) increase relative to the US. Of course, the states benefits greatly from dropping their dollar when other economies back their currency with the US dollar.
Seriously, there are way to many responses about drugs. The thing that helped me the most is understanding how my body and mind work. Yoga is probably the easiest way to do that, you get tons of feedback from your body.
I can notice any changes in my breathing, muscle tension, posture, and thought patterns. You could do just meditation which would help with ADD since you learn to quiet your mind, but yoga has the added benefits of being able to quiet your body. I would STRONGLY SUGGEST this to ANYONE with ANXIETY PROBLEMS. Seriously, people who are anxious tense up and breath differently. Once you can spot that and loosen up the correct muscles then bye bye anxiety.
Oh, and diet. Can't forget diet. Remember you are what you eat and in our societies we're mostly garbage. Remember, your body was developed over thousands of years to run on certain types of fuels, it did not evolve to run on hydrogenated oils, pesticide/herbicide residues and mcdonalds!
Is it just me, or is there always a lot of 'well, they did the best thing they could at that time and they've learned their lesson', every single time one of the atrocious war crimes committed by the USA is brought up?
God? Is that you?

It increases one's ability to do yoga. Mind and body have a tighter connection on pot.

Only if it's an idiotic action! :)
Come on, the guy is quoting fox news, he's beyond hope already. No need to try and bring him to reality.

regarding your sig, are you referring to alcohol or cigarettes?

The united states is not the world. Don't worry, according to lots of other countries, you're already in hell :)

So when are we going to USE the 11th edition dictionary of newspeak?
