What do you suggest people do? Take a week our of their lives to read a 400 page manual and work through the intricacies of installing and setting up unix/linux and spend another few weeks learning the subtleties of securing said system? Most people don't enjoy spending time learning about computers and tinkering with them. On the PC side, Windows is the best thing there is for those users. Be doesn't have the application (ie. MS Office) or hardware support to be viable.
Robert Morris is a hacker, Bill Gates is a business man. Big difference.
I'm not sure what problem you have with Netscape 4.x and and the web interface of exchange, but I just tried it with Netscape 4.08 and Exchange 5.5 and it works fine for me.
Well, discontinuation of service sometimes happen when you distribute copyrighted material. Surely you can't blame napster for simply kicking you off because you're using their service to do something entirely illegal. I won't get into the morality of sharing copyrighted mp3s on napster, but don't blame them for enforcing laws.
You bet correctly. Only 2 things have changed. Changed wording from "uploads" to "outgoing transfers" and "downloads" to "incoming transfers." There's not even any new options. Too bad someone who can't code worth dick had to invent napster.

Like macros? No, but it does have _very_ good scripting support. Check out http://www.cooltext.com/ to see what can be done with a little scripting.
Like recordable macro's. Tell it to record, do your work, save the recording of it, and apply those steps to other images... In such a way that an end user wouldn't need to learn C, C++, Perl, Python, or anything else besides how to operate the program itself...
I'm a fan of Photoshop myself, but I think that anyone making a living using it wouldn't mind learning a scripting language if it meant more flexibility. There have been times where I would have killed to have some form of scripting to do basic if/then/else operations with images. If I'm paying $600 for an item of software, I don't want it trading user friendliness for flexibility.
Of course, I think actions should stay there, as well, for the times when scripting simply isn't called for.
Rather than an adapter for your current keyboard, you might think of investing in a DvortyBoard. It's a standard 104 (or whatever) key keyboard with a Dvorak lock that switches the key layout from qwerty to dvorak. www.dvortyboards.com seems to be down at the moment (forever?), but http://www.fentek-ind.com/dvorak.htm still has them for sale.
heh. That's not half as bad as Trick Daddy's album titled www.thug.com. Song 1 - Log on. Song 16 - Log off. Be sure to check that album cover art; top quality artistry there.
Porn sites are raking in the millions. Sex has always sold, since the beginning of recorded civilization. Just because it's online doesn't change a basic fact of human society: sex sells.
As far as I can tell (I'm not a developer, just an IT dude),.NET is just an API for writing applications that run from the web on a client machine, negating the need to install the client on each local machine. Of course, it's hooked into Office 2000 and a host of other MS products, forcing anyone who uses MS products to use.NET. Such are the ways of Microsoft, I suppose.
aphr0 reports that Slashdot will be banned from posting anything by Jon Katz for the next decade. (or however long funding lasts) The restriction, imposed by the Few Intelligent Slashdot Posters (FISP), is designed to prevent Mr. Katz from spewing his tired old bullshit on the front page of our beloved web site each week.
..and here I was, thinking everyone on slashdot gave a damn about Linus having a kid. Not only was I moderated UP for my post, but I get replies of support!
THANK YOU! To everyone who supported me, even through the bad times... thank you.
Or maybe they could implement a fucking windows client and have a chance in hell of growing beyond the 8 linux fanboys that run it swapping boy porn.

You have no creativity.
I'm not sure what problem you have with Netscape 4.x and and the web interface of exchange, but I just tried it with Netscape 4.08 and Exchange 5.5 and it works fine for me.
You could always do what this guy did.
Well, since you ask.. no. There are more worthy causes.

Since this is slashback, I guess this is kinda on topic. There's a new version of napster available for the windows folks.
.NET is already out there.

I have a Dvortyboard and it works wonderfully.

My -GOD- man! That's one of the most disturbing things I've yet seen. You slimy bastard.
Thanks for showing the maturity everyone has come to expect from the linux community.
Hey linsux users - grow up.

Ejaculation.
You can actually type out words like that, you know. No one will punish you. *pat pat*
It's about god damn time someone does. Even if you are anonymous and I can't properly thank you.
