    Because the most often used icons are always hidden by windows when you need them. Far more convenient to have them in the "Computer" menu IMHO :)

    He said on Slashdot that user mean that any user can change things in userlinux but that he target more business than home users.

    After than, half of the comments were about how silly the name was and that he should have named it something like "businesslinux" or at least something that gives a hint that he targeted business.

    I agree that it is a bad name, user is really unclear in that context.

    No. But you are seeking trouble if you install stuff from source on Red Hat. Get a source distro (a lot exists) if you want to install from source.

    Most people speak english with a lot of difficulty. Those who speak english well enough to finish their phrase in english are anglophones.

    They are benifiting before they were getting 1 mb from hotmail and 4 from yahoo (6 for those who had an account since some time). Google with it's offer made all the other companies offer enough disk space for everyone.

    Really good question since the US have a big image problem in the world. As an exemple, I heard on TV yesterday : "USA is the most beautiful country in the world. Unfortunately, it is filled by Americans."

    I guess that it's not just us, canadians who do that kind of remarks.

    Why don't a company send them by snail mail. It takes longer to reach the destination but it doesn't matter since you are dead. And your street address change less often than your e-mail address.

    They finished Safari compatibility (so I guess that Konqueror works too). They don't talk about Opera but they suggest switching to Mozilla or Firefox.

    Yes they do. They just get a lot of mails. Sometimes you get a messages saying "thanks for the feedback but we can't give everyone a personal answer". Sometimes you do get a personal answer. Happened to me once. They fixed the (minor) problem 2 or 3 months later... Never had any problems with Firefox however...

    The article say that Spit don't exist yet but probably will as VoIP popularity increase. So you should patent spit, then sue spitters when they appear :)

    I know the most probable origin of the word (I say most probable because some will contest Poutine to have originated in that restaurant).

    The cook of that restaurant was nicknamed "ti-poune" and the name of the meal is just derived from it.

    And for other quebeckers, I don't think it have any relation whatsoever to Rose Ouelette aka "La poune".

    Weird, what kind of restaurant did you checked ? I live in Quebec and never had any trouble to find poutine (in Montreal as in other regions).

    If you want to be sure to find some, you might go to McDonald, they sell it and they are everywhere.

    It originated in Quebec (and there is some debate about where exactly it started). I'm not saying you can't find it outside Quebec, I'm saying you can find it absolutely everywhere in Quebec.

    Easy question. You rarely find igloos nowadays except maybe in Quebec's carnival (in Quebec city). You can find poutine in almost any place that sells food in Quebec.

    And many situations don't need a completely different law when it happens with computers. A fraud is a fraud no matter what the medium you use is and there is already good laws about it.

    We also get the goodies in non-Debian distros. For Fedora it's : yum install clamav
