If you find a ftp server running win9x just change the directory to c:\con and...BOOM! no more ftp serving. When I first read about this i thought it was a joke. Well, looks like win9x users get what they pay for, sigh.
When will be Themes supported again? Or where do I find a description of how to change the Theme manually? The MozillaZine Chromezone says "There will be new theme switching technology in mozilla shortly." and that was after the M10 release. So how do i use the Themes you can download from the Chromezone?
I think this is actually their most interesting product. I really hate it when i can hardly understand anything in an interview just because the streaming is slow. With VCR i could at least download it and listen to it in an appropriate quality. For pirating stuff this is useless anyway as the quality sucks big time.
You have to run X11 in 16bit or the OpenGL stuff get's disabled. Even then Performance sucks though. We'll have to wait for XFree4.0 to get decent speed.
a) NV10 (aka GeForce256) in fall 2000? Wouldn't that be a bit lame? (GeForce512 maybe)
b) What does Sega think of this? I mean they partner with M$ (BAD idea) and now M$ falls into their back. After all they own the OS so they can modify it in any way they want so Sega will always be number 2 after M$ (wasn't that the point Carmack made when Apple tried to find out which standard to follow in the 3d arena and made DirectX an option?)
c) I can still remeber articles where Bill himself said that consoles have no future and will be swallowed by HomePCs. 180 degree turnaround?
d) Maybe this "OR AMD" is a message to Intel ("stop supporting Linux so much or we'll cut your throat!") ?
e) Who wants to buy a console by a company that has a proven track record of crappy products?

I thought we already get a new stack with the 2.4 kernel? Or is the new IP stack so bad it needs a rewrite even before it's out?

A low power K7 at 1Ghz alone will cost more than the whole PSX2 at that time. Maybe a year later....
