"Hey, Slashdot, I don't know how to do my job.. please help me. I could PROBABLY google around for 30-40 seconds and find a solution, and earning my paycheck by doing so.. but I figure I'll waste everyone's time."
From what I hear from Radio Shack employees, the bulk of their sales are those cheap cables, and it's going poorly for them as, unless it's Monster branded, they're not making any real money off of it.
I tried to use my CueCat for it's intended purpose, but it didn't work. I tried many times to get the damn thing to work, but it never recognized what I was scanning. And I tried just about everything I owned.
I listen to Penn Radio on FreeFM, and Penn spent an entire show talking about ATHF. He mentioned how he had never heard of the show, but will not make it a point to watch the show when he can, and that he will also go see the movie.
This kind of response to the nut-jobs over reacting in Boston makes me smile just a little bit. I hope that the ATHF movie does very well.
If my license got a stamp that said I was a smoker and couldn't take part in any state funded healthcare... If it meant I didn't have to pay for anyone else to get it either? I'd start smoking.
Get rid of the state sponsored crap, let people choose their own insurance providers, let people deal with the consequences of their choices, and let people live their own lives.
Well, as soon as you figure out how to do power and coax for cable TV in the same cable, without any issues, let me know. Because, and I may be wrong here, I thought we were talking about the cables behind a TV.
"All they're offering in HD-DVD and BluRay is Slightly Higher Def, which is lost on like 95% of the TV owning public."
That's what I said. I only know one person with a HDTV. Everyone else sees a 32" CRT for $76 compared to a 20" HD LCD at $290, and they grab two 32" TVs.
DVD had more to offer over VHS compared to HD-DVD and BluRay over DVD. DVD offered no rewinding, special features, easy chapter browsing.. All things that VHS lacked. That's why DVD won over VHS. All they're offering in HD-DVD and BluRay is Slightly Higher Def, which is lost on like 95% of the TV owning public. Oh, and restrictive phone-in DRM.
... if they cut the charges for ringtones down from $2.99 each and maybe even reduce my monthly bill. I'd gladly view an ad when I'm texting or whatever, if it means I can save a few bucks a month.

I just got an LG Chocolate, and I don't have to pay to transfer songs to it. It has a MiniSD slot, and even though the user guide says "Do not transfer music with your MiniSD card" it goes on to tell you how to transfer music with it.
It does cost $2.99 for ringtones, but you can connect the phone to any computer with bluetooth and transfer ringtones that way, too.

Not really, no. For Debit cards, yes. But you can just use them as a "Credit" card, and all you have to do is sign your name. You can also make online purchases without a pin.
These are non-powered RFID tags. There is no "on/off" for them. If you wanted powered RFID, you'd have to include a battery, making the new card larger and bulkier than the old cards.
I work at a hospital, and have access to all the fun stuff. I use a scalpel to open them, and the stapler, bandages, and medical tape to reattach my fingers.
Glad to see I wasn't the only one who used that as a sig.. Changed mine now, but wow.. that was a pretty awful hardware review.

You may be agnostic, but are you theist or atheist? Saying "agnostic" is a cop-out, and not really an answer.

So.. you're stupid and moronic?

Wouldn't it be a great world if both the suspect and the police officer had rights? But I guess that's just crazy talk.

Really? I haven't seen a VHS for sale in the past 5 years. And to the other guy below you, Blockbuster is for fools. Get NetFlix and be a man.

You continue to miss the point, jackass.
YOU. CAN. DO. MORE. WITH. IT. compared to 20 PCs from 19dickity2, you can do MUCH more with your hardware. BANG FOR THE BUCK.
You're more dense than the average digger, and that's saying something.
But you can do more with it. That's the point. It's more efficient. More bang for the buck.
If a clear signal is not important to you, you can. The problem is that the power'll really fuck up your reception.
I do like your idea of having all devices recognize all other devices, though. Bluetooth would be perfect for that.

When was the last time you saw a movie come out on VHS? Or even for sale at a store?

So how do you overthrow your government when it gets out of control? How do you protect your family and home against criminals?
Harsh language?
Yeah, because that's so much better than swiping it through a magnetic reader..
Aren't we supposed to be improving things, instead of just changing the time wasting from swiping to pressing and waving?
