I was playing with a Shaman who didn't use totems or heal. He had NO idea what he was doing. I asked him why he never used them, he said "OMG I DUN NED DEM YET!"... That's half the damn class.. The other half being "hit things with blunt objects" of course. I'll admit that as a hunter I make my fair share of mistakes. I don't keep my pet under control very well in tight spaces, and have gotten my groups killed a few times.
That's your opinion, and just like an asshole, you get to have one.
Some people think that the Star Wars kid is funny. Who are you to tell them that what they find to be funny actually isn't? Are you some kind of expert on comedy? Are you Carrot Top in disguise?
I thought the "LEEEEROOYYYY JENKINSH!" thing was great.
It's called being a whistleblower. You cannot be fired for it. You CAN be fired for some made up reason, though. If the place you work at is owned by a large enough corporation, they usually have anonymous tip lines you can call to report things like this.
Society has pretty much given up on violent sex offenders. Repeat Sex Offenders are the ones who society says "What else can we do?" and just keeps track of where they are. That's one reason some cities wanted GPS trackers on the releases sex offenders.
I don't really think you're giving all the deatils there. Most "rape" charges of this type are brought about by parental pressure on the girl to press charges against the guy. Either that, or she's doing it to hurt his reputation.
Usually, the offenders who are listed on public websites are either violent sex offenders or child molestors. They don't put your name on the public list of sex offenders in the area for putting a mirror on your shoe and going to the mall. If the people are on the public list of offenders, they're the scummiest of the scum.
Their set of rights is smaller than yours or mine.
There exist lists of convicted sex offenders. They have to register when they move. They have to register every year even if they don't move. If the community they move into doesn't want them around, they can get a petition thrown together and the sex offender cannot live there. Oh, and they'll know when he moves in. Usually some group will make a big stink about the whole deal.
Once you commit a sex crime (or are convicted of ANY felony) you lose the majority of your rights.
If you report the bug to the admins, they'll be more friendly to you. Instead of being mean and deleting your char without giving you a chance to defend yourself, they tend to be thankful that you brought the bug to their attention.
I installed.. My FRIEND installed XP Pro Corp on his computer and used a keygen'd code. It passed the Genuine Advantage test thing. I laughed hard and long at it.
No, it's not quite like that. It would be more like: If the window repairman developed newer windows that were harder to break. If the vandal never broke the original windows, they would still be as easy to break as they originally were. But now, thanks to the Vandal, they're improved and rock-resistant.
The "window" tech. isn't standing still as the Vandal runs around breaking them.
There is no money in a one shot cure. You pay for an injection and you never get cancer again. They'd have to price that injection VERY high. Treatment? If you have to get a shot every other week, you can charge less and make the money on volume. (Replace cancer with anything. Alzheimers, HIV, or anything else)
It really depends. There's hardware loggers and software ones. Some record all keyboard imputs, some take screenshots often. Most people who use the OSK type slow enough with it that it wouldn't be too quick to capture with a series of screenshots.
A full-time janitor, part-time hacker just out of school and working at any job he can get stumbles upon an unlocked computer. He's unauthorized to use the machine and the network it's on. Not saying that's what happened, but an inside job CAN be an unauthorized individual.
It's not only about not doing evil things. It's about doing GOOD things, too. There's no reason to trust any corporation, because they only exist to make profit.
Have Firefox "Ask every time" and you can accept the sites you like (/., newegg, sluggy freelance) and block the ones you don't like, maybe even add them to your hosts file.
Where I worked, the only time you'd be working single was if someone got sick and the manager couldn't come in or after 11pm-5:30am. After 9pm buisness dies until the bars close. The doors chime when someone comes in, so they tell us to "do it but be quick"
Oh, and the only people with keys are the managers (where I worked, never worked at a 711 or anything).
Can anyone tell me what UI modification the guy who did the recording was using?
(And of COURSE it was staged, what kind of people record their entire gaming session?)

Just think about it:
Actual baby-back ribs.

Oh, in that case you're an idiot for messing with known bugs.

Abandonware is a way for us "pirates" to feel better about what we do.
It doesn't matter that the company doesn't sell the product or support it any longer.
Oh, you mean the story covered by slashdot 3-4 times and was found out to be fake?

Monitor running processes. Monitor bandwidth use. It's not hard to notice that you're infected.

Why do you trust Google so much? Because they said they'd do no evil?

People have to submit the stories for /. to post them. Why didn't you submit it when you saw it 12 hours ago?
