Do you go to Best Buy when you're shopping for hardware, or do you go to NewEgg/TigerDirect/PriceWatch? Do you run out to Barnes and Noble whenever you hear about a book you'd be interested in reading? Do you go to.. I can't think of any stores that sell DVDs other than Wal*Mart, but do you go there or do you hop on Amazon?
Getting stuff online is easier. It's faster. And, even if it's by a few cents, it's cheaper. I've spent over $300 in the iTMS and my iPod's got plenty of room left (for my "other" musics), to me it's a great deal and I can find stuff that's not at my local music stores without leaving my chair.
You mention "pernament backup" when you buy from the Brick and Mortar store, but how easily do CDs get destroyed?
This will, for sure, stop the pirates who are using XP Pro Corp. Because Pro Corp doesn't need to be activated. That's a good idea, Microsoft. Throw in an activation system, but disable it for one version of the OS.. That won't get out on the intarweb.
Well, yeah.. but this is cooler. It would be great for people who live in windy areas as a backup incase the power goes out.. or for anyone, just in case. I don't know, there's no real NEED for it, but it's a cool thing.
Cash, stocks, and the like are one thing. Houses, cars, antiques, and the like are another.
I guess I just see it differently than everyone else. If someone leaves me something like that, I'm going to take care of it. Not sell it to some spammer who'll load it up with ads and crap.
Actually, it originally WAS turned on, but people complained that their apps that needed to connect to the internet "broke" so Microsoft turned it off by default in SP1. Microsoft can't win.
What's horrible is that the guy who sold it was given the site as directed by the pervious owner's Will. He died and left it to this guy who sold it. Isn't that nice?

Watch an episode of Law & Order: SVU.. Violence, sex, and drugs with a dash of torture, slavery, and child abuse thrown into the mix.
And it's one of the best shows on TV.
This part:
"A well regulated militia"
Your post IS off-topic, because what you posted has nothing to do with the rest of the discussion.
No, and thank you for rubbing it in. *shame*
When did we leave Iraq and head to North Korea?
Did you mean to reply to the story about the windchimes?

(Posting from a.. not quite legal copy of XP)
You know how to google, don't you?
Here.

Why not attach it to the outside of your car? Or hang it out a window? That would be pretty great, I think.
Do I hate Microsoft? I don't remember that.
I think hating or loving companies who are out to make money no matter what they have to do is just foolish.
And it worked for your example company rather well, didn't it?
A paying troll?
The Horde is the enemy? I thought the Alliance was. Oh, it depends on what you're playing as? Well, crap, I guess we're both wrong.
Not to mention this picture is actually a fake, as proven by snopes: foto
Look around under "photos" for the original. I think it originally said "We're Ready"
Are you also on MySpleen? Someone there is offering $10 for people to click his stuff.
Hell yes.
From TFA (Under the image showing where in the EULA the offer was):
"Is anyone reading this? PC Pitstop offered a financial incentive in its EULA, and it took four months before anyone responded."
It's quite obvious you're a minor, what with the "w00t" and the problems with simple spelling.

If someone leaves you something in their will, they want you to have it.
The guy trusted him to take care of it when he was gone. And he sold it. I think that's wrong.

They took your standard lion and grafted four asses to it.
