I've got a theory, and I think you may all agree with me on this:

We've stumbled on an ancient Martain car wash.

    It's invisible, of course.

To think anything different would be just plain silly.

Really? That many people don't hate GE?

GE had a huge plant that was the size of my whole TOWN in a city a few miles north of here.

They closed that plant for no good reason, maybe so a CEO could get an extra few million for a christmas bonus.

The people who lost their jobs couldn't afford to move to where jobs existed, so we had about 100,000 people jobless at the same time.

Now the city is choked with crime and drugs. The schools are having problems not only with weed but with crack and heroin.

The entire county has felt it, and continues to feel it even this long after the closing.

The entire /. population may hate MS, but all of Berkshire County hates GE.

And they did it to other towns, too.

GE ruined people's LIVES. Microsoft doesn't lay off tens of thousands of people when they close a plant.

Next time, think before you comment.

No, the problem is that the upload totally saturates the connection. I've got 3Mbit cable from Adelphia, and if I use all my upload my download rates drop hard.

BitTorrent needs some upload to talk to seeds and peers to say "I've got xx parts, do you need them? I need xx parts, do you have them?" but if it cannot talk to other people, your rates just die.

The problem was that you couldn't set your upload in the client. If you used a resource extracting program, you could get the plain .torrent out of their exe and use your client of choice to download it.
