    Yet, am I naive, or would the public notification that the "kill switch" has been found and activated - for this version - prompt the culprit to release another mod of this malware?!
    Would it make sense to keep this info (publicly) hush for a while?
    At least long enough to allow a more permanent solution to be distributed?

    From what I have read, Title 2 of the Communications Act actually has a provision for keeping prices fair.

  9. Over the past 10 or 15 years, I have tried nearly all of the major (and some not-so-major) AV programs out there.

    The absolute best I have yet used is in fact Kaspersky (Total Security and the Small Office Suite).
    There has never been an instance over the past 3 years of having Kaspersky fail to fully protect all the PCs under my guard (~22 at last count).

    Other AV programs have ALL allowed an infection through at one time or another: AVast, Eset, AVG, McAfee, Norton, TrendMicro, ...

    I thought all the AV companies actually also created the need for AV programs!
    Isn't that where most malware comes from?!

    I don't think it even helps with single sign-on.

    Breaches are are no more or less frequent whether passwords are changed regularly or not.
    So, being forced to change a password regularly only forces users to be forced to record them, often in more than 1 place.
    Which, in itself, actually increases risk!

    Why not just work for it?!

    How about a requirement to actually put in some minimum of hours on some qualified work in order to qualify for the income?
    It could be some part time position that allows an individual to continue seeking more gainful employment.

    Then, when we have mastered having robots do nearly all our work, we can just sit back and wait for judgement day!

    How is it fair for entities (with lots of money) to go collecting data for the purpose of toying with psyches
    with hopes of effectively brainwashing into serving their wishes?

    How is it fair for entities to go collecting data at all without knowledge AND permission from the subjects?

    I reserve the Right to protect myself from any and all things that threaten any part of my privacy and freedom.
    This includes any psychological attempts on any part of psyches!

    (They) were tracking-down whatever they could. It was an involved investigation to get to the producers, distributors, and victims, as well as the recipients.
    And, the sentence was for multiple counts, not just one offense.

    Tough question to answer!

    EZPass, the electronic road toll devices that speed drivers thru toll booths, have eliminated toll booth jobs for decades.
    Would this also qualify as (robotically replacing humans)?

    On a side note, I would think that my tolls SHOULD have gone down since there was no toll booth person to pay.
    Processing electronic tolls seems quite a bit more automate-able, and thus cheaper to maintain than paying employees.

    So, since 'robots' provide cheaper products and services, should those products and services be offered accordingly cheaper?
    And, would a tax bring costs back to that of having employees?

    Whether it is in some small print somewhere.
    Collection warning should always be widely and easily posted.

    Or, all that data needs to be freely and widely available to all private citizens.
    (I want more info on that asshole that lives up the street!)

  25. Here in PA, our road taxes and tolls go for road-centric causes - repairs, employees, infrastructure, etc, ...
    What is this new, proposed CA tax supposed to support?
    Do the airways need to be repaired?
    Who owns, and/or maintains, the launchpads?

    If more taxes are needed, why not just tax the rich folks appropriately?!

    It seems that we need to spend more on space endeavors (that serve the public), not tax it more.
