I found this was one of the most annoying things about attending Ithaca and Bracken Ridge TAFE. To just log in quickly to print something before class meant having to take half the lunch hour to do such a simple task.
I don't know what your link to WebFaction is, but it really doesn't help your credibity when you praise a company thats astroturfing while having it as your profile url...
First we had Matt trying to pimp his eefoof.com site earlier, trying to pass it off as a "You Tube Killer", now we have some control panel company trying to do the same thing.
The submitters URL goes straight to WebFaction.
It wouldn't be quite so annoying if they wern't trying to pass themselves off as being an uninvolved third party and talking in the third person context all the time.
Atleast they didn't call themselves a [cPanel|Ensim] Killer
I visited the US just over a year ago and during my stay I took a tour of the UN Building in New York.
We got to the part of the tour where they showed us the effects of war and they even had a section dedicated to landmines. My father asked the guide who was the biggest producer of the landmines that cause so much suffering and death and the guide refused to answer him because "they are one of the members of the UN".
The next day we found out that the country that couldn't be named was indeed the United States of America.
How ironic. A member of the UN that stands against all its principles only for financial/military benifits.
As for hiding the widget using a 1x1 transparent GIF, it would be instantly noticible when you clicked the Widget Management button (the little circle with an x in it in the lower left corner).
When it is activated and the widget drawer is open, all of the widgets have their own "Close Widget" button that hovers a few pixels away.
So it is pretty much impossible to hide a widget without it becoming somewhat noticible.
Or rather, he is biting the hand that feeds.
