In particle physics, antimatter extends the concept of the antiparticle to matter, whereby a particle of antimatter is composed of antiparticles in the same way that normal matter is. For example an antielectron (positron) and an antiproton could form an antihydrogen atom in the same way that an electron and a proton form a normal matter hydrogen atom. Furthermore, mixing of matter and antimatter would lead to the annihilation of both in the same way that mixing of antiparticles and particles does, thus giving rise to high-energy photons (gamma rays) or other particle-antiparticle pairs.
I remember a freind who had a Sega Genesis? controller that slipped on your index finger and supposedly moved by thought. What turned out was it was really good at knowing which way you are moving your finger.
Sorry, no links. The only thing I remember about it, it was around 1995-96 and I think I saw an add in gamepro for it.
It was the movie with the retard that won some money. As I recall, there was a guy who watched cards long enough that he figured out a pattern that would let him win every time. He played for like three days, and won a crazy amount of money. The movie went to DVD, but I remember reading that the dealers who hosted the game offered to make it 'true random' for another $600, and the pit boss refused to pay it.
This article reminds me of that story.
Sorry to break it to you, bud, but not everyone can do everything. You won't catch a legless man running a marathon, nor will you find a tasteless man sipping wine for a living. A deaf man won't be working the drivethrough line at McDonalds, and an armless man wont be MY bodyguard.
Computers are something that exclusively requires sight. It isn't descrimination... it's just a cold fact.
What is likely, is they can't tell whether you will buy a PS3 or an XBox 360, but rather you are going to press the "left button" vs the "right button" when shown a simple image like a green/red square.
Teachers face the same hurdles that you may experience in the IT field. Most of us have been in the position where you ae looking to take on a job that you are more than qualified for. You get the "We think you are overqualified for this position", which translates to "You are bound to want too much money". The same applies to teachers.
You might think you own it, but SUPRISE, you are licensing it. You probably could have found the completely abiguous statement on that little postcard you threw away.
WHile I agree that the possesion of a college degree is the best way to go, saying the option "can't hurt" is hugely overstated. A lot of people that have a passing interest in computers go and get their degree. But guess what... they lack experience, and often find they DONT love computers enough to deal with all of the politics that come with it. In the end, they have a $40k loan to pay off while working as a cashier at McDonalds.
Sounds like you are one of the "Cert" people. No one, except those who wasted money and time on a certification, think they have ANY value.
And for the record, I've taught plenty of MS certification courses... and honestly, the ones that actually had brains figured out they are best with that money still in their pocket.
The computer world is running out of names... when I saw "Groovy", I thought of the engine used in The 7th Guest and 11th Hour. (sorry, cant find the links anymore).
What really needs to happen is the utter destruction of the "Licensing" notion. This is where the customer will always be screwed because while you cry that "I own this... I should be able to do what I want with it", you dont REALLY own it. So you simply have no right to bitch about "Your Rights" when it wasnt yours to begin with.
Wrong.

Antimatter is... just as it sounds. The opposite of matter.

So instead of being physically on a plane, the new attack vector will be the remote control station.
Good Work.

Christ. The only interface more horrid than MDI is having a bajillion free floating windows that don't have any obvious connection to one another.
With that, how about GIMP gets USABLE before ya cram in more "features".

Good:

Just because some historical figure got away with it, absolutely doesn't mean it was OK.
If you don't punish the wicked, you are simply encouraging them to keep on doing.
Careful there, buddy. Excessive use of that Thesaurus will make you go blind.
... isn't the illusion of water on the road a product of light reflecting off of the air?
What the HELL are you doing that you need to reboot your Windows machine daily?

Id like to see how you can possibly detect a watermark that has gone through lossy compression.

UUEncode has long been superceded by yEnc... at least that is what goes on on Usenet
This is great. What we need now is something to post binary data as a slashdot post and a filesystem to use it!
You returned a light bulb? The only thing I have seen more cheap in my life is an old lady trying to return a greeting card to the dollar store.
