Well, I do have to say that LotR was better Oscar-material than both Bad Taste and Braindead, and even if The Frighteners was ok...well, LotR just kicks booty.
It's about time the typosquatters are getting squeezed. I'm tired of getting shipped over to some obscure "search engine" site with 45 popups and popunders. (Thank the Maker for the popup blocker in the Googlebar!) However, I wonder how long it'll be until it goes over the end the other way - we've already seen the mikerowesoft.com story, and there's always whitehouse dot com (instead of whitehouse.gov).
HUGE privacy issue. Aren't they wanting to implement something similar in the UK? (I cannot locate a link for it right now.)
What about the reverse...?

This could have a potentially incredible impact on impaired and disabled people. Imagine if Stephen Hawking would be able to work at the same speed his mind seems to function at?
However, what about Mind through Machine over Mind? Put your helmet on, jack in, and remote control that fish - imagine the long-time deep-sea discoveries we could make - maybe even find a live Architeuthis?
A neutron star is a star that already has gone nova (basically meaning "new", since supernovae appeared as "new" stars in the heavens in the good old days). The neutron star is basically the core remains of a star that through a supernova explosion has shedded all the outer gas layers (forming nebluae), and all that is left is the heavy core.
Our own sun is much to small to form a neutron star. When it shedds the outer gas layers it will form a white dwarf that eventually will turn into a cold iron ball. Larger stars go supernova and the core turns neutron star. Larger stars still may have a core so large and dense that its own gravity causes it to collapse - black holes.
I am not aware of any other uses for the term "nova" than in "supernova".
I am an avid NPR listener, and whenever Klick and Klack, the Tapper brothers are on when I get home, I invariably end up sitting in the driveway. I would love to be able to automagically tape these shows and play them back in my car (while driving to/from work) at the push of a button.
It seems that even if the interfaces are very similar, if there's even a slight difference in the look and feel about it (and as soon as there is *ANY* change) there is a need for training. I know from experience that moving from a dumb terminal environment (SunRiver terminals) to Win95 workstations for a nationwide company required a LOT of training. Surprisingly, whenever an icon was added to the desktop there was an outbreak of confusion and mass hysteria, and more training was required.
The BBB doesn't do jack. I've tried, but the BBB has no authority whatsoever; it's just a list of companies that *some* consumers are unhappy with, and it seems most companies reported to the BBB simply shakes it off, just like water on a goose.
There seems to be a theme going... Vanilla Ice and Queen, Weird Al and Coolio, Apple and Eminem... Although, some of these cases are ridiculous on different levels.

My boss has three standard trouble-shooting questions:
I wouldn't put it past them to say "Sure, we'll give you your money back!", followed by a -swish- as they launder all the money and take off for Cuba or something. I do remember that Gartner recommended not paying up.
Yes, Sony made Betamax (an excellent standard for monoaural audiovisual entertainment) and U-MATIC. Phillips made System 2000 (or Video 2000), while JVC Japan came up with VHS, which through deals with the movie industry ended up being the most popular and wide spread, although not necessarily the best system from a quality standpoint.
Yes, Honda has ASIMO, or Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility. I remember first seeing ASIMO walk around, looking a little creepy, since it walked with a relatively "human" style. It also "...turns sideways, climbs up and down stairs, and turns corners." And it's starting to look more and more human with each new prototype.
Ok, ok, mod -1 Offtopic.
...unless you're a freegan, in which case consumerism is the devil...but you still rely on it to survive... Wait a minute...
What, upset that someone can make better movies than you? Oh boo-hoo. Go whine somewhere else.

I would think Eben Moglen should be a pretty well-known name by now as well, especially if you visit Groklaw at all.

Apologies ahead of time for lack of swedish ring- and umlaut characters.

Works in 9 cases out of 10.But yes, case in point. I was just too trigger happy on the mouse. My sincere apologies.

I hope this douesn't turn out like something I was personally victimized by.

Better start handing out tinfoil hats at the air port and city limits.
