I signed up with emusic. I had a list of 100 artists whose music I wanted. I found 3. Oh well. If you're the kind of person that hasn't got time to test listen to hundreds of unknown artists, don't waste your time with emusic. Only the DRM freedom is nice, the music is just sort of ho hum. No offense.
All the derogatory comments in this blog regarding Oregon are true! We are just strange people that love living in these horrible living conditions (like lots of rain and that sort of thing)! If you want to be taken seriously here, you need to quit mixing facts with opinions. Just because you believe something to be true doe NOT make it so. Likewise, just because you believe something to be untrue, does NOT make it so.

Well, all the comments here make it quite obvious that the iPod is the way to go IF you can afford it. All the rest of us will just have to do the best comparative analysis we can and settle for something inferior, such as the irock!. I bought my little irock! a loooooooong time ago, and I've never had a problem with it. Granted, it won't house my entire CD collection, but I could give everybody on my Christmas list one of those little players (and still have money left over) for the same money that I would have spent on a single iPod.
Pity we don't all have money to throw away on iPods.
Is Make Magazine supposed to turn into some kind of journal?, one that we keep on the shelf for reference year after year? At $15 a pop, one would hope so.
This is just one major salvo across the bow of Battleship Microsoft from Battleship IBM. This war that been has quietly raging for many years is far from being won. The sinking of the IE ship is well under way at this time, and the Admirals and Generals on both sides are in their respective war rooms. So what's next?
I don't know for certain, but I suspect just plain old poor education in grammar. Ever so, you'd think that reading a sufficient number of correctly written books would teach people the difference between 'less' and 'fewer'.
