Both need to be done to an extent. The priority should be kept directly to the machine since that is where the heat issues are. Also, cooling a room is a lot more time intensive and expensive. Think about it, you have the entire volume of the room to cool with much of that air being void and useless. Then by time the cool air reaches the CPU and components, it will not be doing much work cooling the system at all. That is why the focus of heat removal should be taken from the components directly, released into the air that is moderately cool [to remove overall heat]. That would be an effective system. BEtter yet [although not very feasible] run water cooling to the systems and put the heat exchanger in another room so you need not cool the room at all...

This device, if it is the one I have heard about, is not legal. And in fact, the FCC has bee ntriangulating any calls that are picked up on its frequencies which are in the HF band [allowing it to travel so far]. It has been heard in airplanes and across cities and is cause for alarm not only for the FCC, but the military which has frequencies around there, amateur radio operators, aviators, and more. I know the device was imported from asia, thus Samsung could fit the bill. All in all, I would not advise buying this without checking to see if it is legit, because the FCC will come knocking sooner or later and people, not only the FCC, are helping trianglulated these types of devices. Otherwise, it would be a great idea, but it causes interference and is not very helpful to most of us...

What is wrong with America? People sue for the most precarious situations, this being one of them. The kids did something they should not have, and therefore have consequences. Maybe this means not getting admitted into their dream college, however, they can, and should, still be accepted into other colleges. Harvard is trying to prove a point, don't screw around or you will not be sucessful in their college/the real business world. Sueing is not the solution, having a sensible decision-making ability is, and people should use it from time to time to avoid situations like the one that happened here to Harvard...
