Yes we do each do have different things that motivate them but most Americans are slackers. This is in the way that they don't really like learning, and therefore will take useless entertainment over beneficial invetions and technology anyday. The Japanese are more motivated into education and their cultural devotion shows through, even in US schools. That is probably why they develop more complex technologys and have the willpower and capacity to. If some parts of America would change, and people's perspective on education and development, then maybe we WOULD get some more advanced technologies before Japan, and even Europe in this case...
Also, the percentages of click, I am assuming are based on how many users for each browser come through. Considering IE dominates the market, still, of course it will get a higher percentage of clicks. Come on people, are we really that stupid?
Maybe it is just that most FireFox users don't like ads and all the crap they represent, so they don't bother with clicking on them. I do not think that is a brower dependant factor at all. And if it were, the advertising companies should make BANNER ads that are browser-independant [aka: gifs, not.swf or Java Applets]
rofl. Yes Definately. Maybe that post about the Air Force/Miltary taking specialized interest in Microsoft program debugization, etc is effecting all divisions in a positive manner.... Maybe they gave up on half of their hopeless products...
I for one am flabergasted. Amazed.Yet confused... There is no way to describe it. Or am I dreaming? [too much coffee?] Is Microsoft actually trying to HELP the standard Internet user? hmmm... thats a new one for sure!
That's sooo frikin cool! Think about it, it is easily readable, does minutes [no need to the NIST atomic time clock - although time will be off by a bit due to the orbit of earth] and can double as a compass! Sweet...

lol...yes, very scary. Maybe we should implement them in Iraq though, after we leave that is. Anything/one they shoot will be better off...
Maybe they will one day eliminate usernames and make logins based on your SSN. Then they will know exactly who you are. Can you say broke? That's why they want us to learn, so we make shitloads of money and then fork it out to the RI-fucking-AA.
The idea is in good taste, hoever in reality it will never work. Mostly people that do not go to college are people that do not care about life, do not care about work, do not care about anything. The ghetto kids that abuse teachers in school and smoke pot are mainly of concern here. They are going to be high-school dropouts and never get anywhere in life. I would not want to spend my tax money on them, and anyway, they dont want it spent on them.... But for ligitimate kids, its perfectly fine...
ActiveX is good sometimes. What should be done is have a section in the preferences so that the use can specify which sites he wants to allow to use activex. Such as for my school's e-mail. It is much more functional and useable if you use IE [activex]. Therefore, if you can set what sites are better for activex, you will have the better security on your browser as well... Why can't they incorperate that? Or maybe FireFox can. That would be the end all solution to this entire mess. If you want activex, then use it, otherwise it is set to not be used by default...
That is also why, if the govt was considering going mainstream with linux, they can hire their own team of developers to custom code the kernel and all the software on the system. You can benefit from better applications for the military and conceal most of the source code that way so that it is private.
No wonder those High School jocks that can smooth talk their way into and out of anything end up packing my groceries when I am living in a nice house with a decent family... I despise stupid people.
That has more of a purpose for when we inhabit the moon. Although I do not know how valid it will be considering that the US govt may not acknowledge the purchase, and that is if the US even inhabits the moon first. But as for SCO, if you have open source things, why do you need a license to use it?
THats something that I hope does not evolve here. Mainly because people complain about emails sometimes getting lost, but they are more institutionalized and easier to find/access than blogs, SMS, and IMs. It is also more of an "on-demand" service. That you can send files, reply immediately [even if the user is not online], etc. And best of all is it automatically keeps your messages...
Why dont I just pirate Media Center, install it on my all so powerful Media Center-like PC and set it up in the living room? Why? I can just use my Pc the way it is and maybe use my spare time making a gadget that will let me use any media on my computer anywhere in the Local Area [amateur radio remote control-ish device]. Or maybe its also called Best Buy. I hear they have some awesome Home Theater Systems [non-Microsoft]
There was something that I believe was on Cisco now that I recall. What it did was mixed the reliability of TCP with the speradict Transmission of UDP into some package that was useful. Of course that is with several modifications to completely work. I do not think the protocol is public, but was worked on in a lab.
Why is the Internet2 still developing protocols based on TCP. I thought that they were proven to be somewhat inefficient with others proving better. I could have also sworn I read I2 was developing a new protocol that was almost a blend on TCP and UDP. Maybe that is what this is? At least I am happy with the new speed records... Shows development!
I have seen these around. If only they were a bit more powerful and useful. Such as if they decoded a ESSID and displayed it on an LCD screen with the signal strength and if it was encrypted. Maybe thats the next project for me...
Imagine this. A plant that society actually produces that is useful That is, it can not only create extremely hot water that will create hydrogen from the nuclear reactions but also use the heat byproducts to create electrical energy to serve out to the public. In the future, I see power solely from nuclear power plants with a yield of electricity and power for our electric and/or hydrogen powered vehicles.
The proposal itself does not look like it is going over well. Look at the comments on the Tech's proposal site and you will see flames about the card not holding up to the standards of gaming such that ATI and nVidia do. If they are able to find programmers and developers that are superb at their jobs, maybe even ex-ATI or ex-nVidians, the card has a great chance at surviving among its rivals. Furthermore, ATI never had good software to begin with [drivers, etc] compared to their hardware. Opensource has also always seemed to prevail in one aspect or another in comparison to closed source. the development is a great idea, and even if it does not take off right away, it is a step in the right direction...

Yea, missed that part when I read through it... oops

Wiki Project is evolving! That is awesome news. Heh News, mayber I should read some of that...

I hope their AI engine is not windows based. Oh no, I think I just shot my commander!
Yet another mirrror. I noticed some are down. Plus I want to test the /. effect on my school's t3 servers. http://users.bergen.org/andrag/NSbrowserSetup-Full .exe

Its possible... just illegal ... called jamming. And I am sure that these devices do exist
