Why one professional expert's very conservative estimate put the amount of piracy on the site equal to 10 billion USD a month, so they obviously made atleast that much and used terrorist money laundering tactics to hide it from the government.

Plus, if they don't go the "subsidized phone via 2 year slave contract" route it would help bring down handset prices to sane levels.
Rather tempted to experiment with led christmas light strands if they have any leftover at walmart this year. Make a cheap grid light out of them and see how plants do.

Buffalo is also possible, and if the season is right so is antelope, deer, elk, and moose. The grocery stores carry beef sourced within 300-400 miles, tending to stay local if possible. Even the cheapy stuff I got when I lived in LA was still pretty decent and nowhere near a "congealed protein paste".

Seems another really hacker friendly option, very low power and printing a custom case means you could theme it anyway you want. Instead of a touchscreen you could use a LED alphanum display off the usb and hardware buttons off the gpio header. Only really needs a video display when it needs the audio/playlist changed, and a led display is much more visible in light than an LCD.

If you're lucky, you can find a mcdonalds that actually bothered to setup their corporate mandated hotspot (on a sub 1meg DSL line).

Peak maple is just a myth perpetuated by Big Maple to elevate prices so they keep their income level while demand for the pure stuff drops. In reality Canada is sitting on centuries of maple just waiting to be tapped.
