They leave all those little things out to minimize the page size. You would too if your page was getting hit as many times per day/hour/minute/second as theirs is.
What makes you think someone paid Google to appear in the top ten results? If you've been on the web for a while, which it looks like you have, you'll know that there are known tricks for increasing your ranking in search results. Which can be achieved without transfering any resources directly to Google.
That's what he meant... did you even read his post? Look (emphasis mine):
they've just paid someone to make sure their web site/appeared/ to be associated with chicken.
I've stuck with AIM version 5.2.3292 (check oldversion.com) and DeadAIM 4.5. No junk, works for me until Miranda can get their act together with OSCAR support.
Flawed comparison there...I never said don't use paper and pencil for basic math (what you referred to when you talked about counting change), but the original submitter asked for software to assist in learning physics and statistics. Since when have McDonald's employees had to understand physics to count change and read a total?
The point is that for students learning higher level mathematics, you can't deny the fact that technology can help under the right conditions.

To whoever modded that comment up:
I salute you.
