I actual just got done building my self a dual xeon system for audio production. And i had a really hard time getting reviews and user experiences for audio workstations or audio benchmarks. And yes there are lots of audio apps out there that are multi/dual threaded. It would just be nice to get an over all performance stats for products. Not just game focused. And it seems thats what everyone cares about nowadays. Are there anyone actually doing anything productive with their multi thousand dollar computers?
But about professionals using company owned equipment. you got to start somewhere, you cant just get into 3D modeling without starting somewhere. And usually thats not from a company buying it for you.
It's more than the LayerEffects because those are limited to drop shadows and glows and the like, where LayerFilters let you apply a blur or noise or even KPT and third-party filters.
Macromedia Fireworks has been able to do this for many years now. Its about time Photoshop realized this is a good idea by its 9th version.
Also, have you ever noticed Macromedia Fireworks can open up Adobe Illustrator files better than Photoshop can? I think maybe they need to bring in the Macromedia team to fix their own incompatibility issues.
I dont see why anyone would be mad at Microsoft. And I dont understand how anyone could expect a embedded video file to play without a player installed. Thats the reason the media player was coupled with Windows in the first place. So computer illiterate people would still be able to play most music and video formats.
This may come as a shock to you, but your not going to be able to play any video format without a player and the format's respective codec.
google referrer means that they just came from google. So if they search for something in google and click on a link, you can look up where they came from when they come to your site. so therefore in my previos code

but lets say that maybe google's bot fakes the referrer when it is crawling your site, to make sure that your not showing different content based on when someone comes to your site from thier search engine. then that code would not work at all because then googlebot would index the porn and not the martha. well a way around that is to find out the ip of googlesbot and write code that would show different content only to good ol' googlebot. and everyone else would see all your ads that googlebot didnt.

so i dont see how google will ever solve the problem of people faking and spamming the seach engine. because google will never be able to detect what happens before the content is delivered to the browser. they can only analyze the code in the page, then see if you are getting forwarded on mouseover or other tricks that are currently being used. Google got a great ride while it lasted, but eventually major changes will need to happen in the way browsers work for google to keep on top in the future. because soon searches will result in nothing relavent.
But i guess there is one way they could fix searches. Once spamming for a keyword fills up the first 10 results, have it throw them out and not display them. Google would have to keep an eye on lots of keywords daily and keep throwing out the first 15, 5, 34 results, depending on how much spam for that word. but then again, is that fair to discriminate the people that just do to their webpages the things that googlebot likes most?
Already, so much fraud is happening with adwords and the like. I really dont see how their business model has survived this long. Millions of dollars that google gets monthly, if not daily are from companies clicking their competitors links. I think so much of it goes on that they dont want people to know about it. They revolve around adwords. Seems to me they should just build in a feature for companies to enter their competitors IP's(or range). Simple enough. Then they wont be charged for those clicks. So many commen sense things that google hasnt done when they have so many PHDs working for them, just dosent make sense. Or maybe that feature would mean a lot less money.

Lets say i made a page about Martha stewart and googlebot came and indexed it. well when someone comes from google they have a google referrer right? so then i display different content of some porno, and all the poor people expecting to get martha get porn.
And i also said it could be used to have a martha stewart page, and then make the code recognize the googlebot and then show it porn. so it indexes other porn this time that isnt there. so people looking for porn get martha stewart, which might be a good thing to some. but god, how plainly do i have to explain it? either way, people coming from google get content that wasnt there when googlebot came.
This has been possible in php forever. And a lot more hidden than a 302 redirect. You go to one page and depending on where you came from, it shows different content, but the url stays exactly the same. Here, go fool google:

As a web designer myself, there is nothing more fustrating than getting in the heart of CSS and trying to make your entire sites layout and design with CSS. You constantly run into problems like, in one browser it displays 2 pixels over, and in another its 3 pixels. Or margin height works in one and not the other. Sounds like a small problem but when you run into lots of those type of issues you have to find work arounds to make them look correctly, or shall i say look decent in every browser.
If it threatens our very existence, then yes, we have to sacrifice freedoms for survival.
I could not disagree more. There is a point when so many freedoms can be taken away to protect you from the other side before you realize the other side is more free than you. If we ever plan to make it as a united world (and become the illusion of every becoming a III type civilization), all barriers will have to be taken down. Or else every nation will end up with no freedoms, surrounded in complete defense, scared of others nukes.
You must take chances to get ahead.

How hard is it to not launch a program? I see that as not opt-ing in. And what is so wrong with a company changing their product how they want to? Personally i think microsoft can put anything they please into their own OS. Just stop using windows if you expect not to get microsoft software. and i see the only solution to getting out of forever microsoft is to use open source where the battlefied is fair game. And until then stop complaining of microsoft forcing you to use everything.

Because their lawyers put a cap on how much they get paid, and promised to see this case to the end on that amount. I cant remember the exact amount, but for some reason 30 million comes to mind.
