Why? FSM decided we could use another meta key and It gave it to Its children. Only reason I am not using it more regularly is that I lack it on my Thinkpad and want the same workflow and key bindings on all machines.
Sure, let him access a computer about which no one of the staff has any clue about freely. Add an UMTS USB dongle and you have the perfect communications gateway for all inmates. I am not saying that they don't have the off phone stashed away anyway, but let's not make things too easy;)
I do basically agree that it is always better to give inmates something to do, preferably something they enjoy and can use in the real world once they are out. But I am not convinced this specific idea is good.
4) Google and youtube are large enough to make companies reconsider about hardware support.
I am not certain how good you can pour Theora into silicon, but I seem to remember easy hardware decoding (i.e. not using much silicon real estate) was one of the goals.
Richard
PS: Ogg is a container, Theora is the actual video codec
PPS: _If_ they do it, do it right. Use Theora in a MKV
They can not look for trajectory directly. They detect something and try to find it on the next pictures. Once they have done that, the trajectory is known. Further observations refine the trajectory estimate.
I mean, sure, it's nice to know that they are able to detect such an object, but the key here is probability. Was this pure chance/luck that they found it or are they 99.999% sure that they will detect any such object within the given timeframe?
> Copying the map to the clients didn't seem to make any difference.
I was about to ask, because that was the only other thing needed.
Maybe there were different versions and you had an old one? Patch distribution did not actually work as good as today, I fear. In any case, it's a pity cause you really missed out. On the plus side, Shadow Warrior with the nuke, railgun and grenade launcher and the better stock maps should have worked for you.
Put a cat into a large room. Take out the cat, wait a week and put my brother in. He will reliably tell you that there has been a cat in said room. Allergies are fun.
So no, you don't need a nut allergy to be severely affected.
> Duke3D stayed Duke3D and I never even managed to get custom levels to work in multiplayer.
It involved the arcane technique of copying the map into the data directory and choosing said map before starting the server;)
But on a more serious note, dm14_2 was the _best_ _multiplayer_ _map_ _ever_. Tiny footprint, yet quite high; it ensured that you met each other all the time while still allowing you to hide (sometimes) and incredibly fast-paced. Fun times:)
I saw that crater from a vantage point during September.
The guide told us the dream story and that it was a crater. Old, weathered info signs said the same. I did not get any specifics, but everything I heard and saw makes me believe that this has been known for a long time.
> As for the Titantic: how many passenger liner disasters have there been since her sinking?
How is that relevant to the people that drowned?
You seem to claim that this new type of reactor is as save as current ships because there have been reactors of other types built before. I do not follow that line of argument.
The question is: Would we be on the Titanic or its n-th gen successor?
PS: While I don't know enough about this new(?) design to comment on it, I do know that nuclear reactors are the only type of industrial hardware that does not need to be insured against the full damages that might occur. The large re-insurance corps told the governments that $5 billion is the absolute maximum and thus the nuclear industry got a get-out-of-paying-free card.
PPS: Guess who pays for the long-term storage of the nuclear waste? You and everyone else that pays taxes:)
PPPS: I am not saying that nuclear energy is bad or good. Just that in the current state it is not save in the long term and that it is _not_ economically feasible in the long term.
Obviously if Apple is working on their own version of Google Latitude (or owns the IP rights to this functionality), they'd be hesitant to put an app with the same functionality on their devices from another company.
I don't you about you, but for me, this is far from obvious. It might be a common practice amongst companies like Apple, but it's thankfully/hopefully not the logical thing to do.
Sure, add some OMGPONIES track if you think that will give you more viewers, thus exposure, thus money. But please please please let the nerdy rest of us keep the simple fact version.
If they are driving towards a Soyuz, I don't need someone telling me that. I can see it. Some call it boring, I call it blissful silence.
The first time this happens, you verify the backups, get another box somewhere else, migrate services, cancel the old contract and file criminal charges, in this order. Optionally, cry as loud as you can about it.
Sure, the police might not do anything about it, but you need to try, at least.
If you log and monitor as much as you claim, I really do wonder why you did not realize this yourself...
Or an indication of how awesome zsh is, especially when you customize it for your needs.
The fact that I prefer Vim over any GUI editor (including GVim) does not mean that all GUI editors are crap. It just means that ten finger typing with good shortcuts is faster than point and click with a mouse.
The second one acts as a right mouse button.
If you have a print screen key, you have SysRq.
Why? FSM decided we could use another meta key and It gave it to Its children. Only reason I am not using it more regularly is that I lack it on my Thinkpad and want the same workflow and key bindings on all machines.
You obviously never tried ksnapshot -- best screen grabber ever :)
Using an actual key might be a bit overkill, no?
Get a KeySonic ACK-616RF -- you will _love_ it.
Why not? Not saying I do it regularly, but if I needed to...
Maybe he needs the drivers, prefers the GNU stack or wants a particular packaging system?
GFS works on top of a normal FS. Facts are funny like that, especially when you are already in outrage mode.
What do you think you will accomplish by sending out this garbage is what I want to know! ;)

Are you aware of how such an upgrade works?
PS: XFS is better, anyway :p
If you use zsh:
youplayer () {
mplayer "http://youtube.com/get_video?"${${${"$(wget -o/dev/null -O- "${1}" | grep -e watch_fullscreen)"}##*watch_fullscreen\?}%%\&fs=*}
}
If not:
youplayer() {
mplayer $(youtube-dl -g $1)
}

My experience is the same, only vice versa. It boils down to 'use what you are comfortable with.'
