And this makes less crimilan, because? I know what the letter of the law says in most countries about that kind of thing. but the law isn't same everywhere, some countries even hae a working legal system:)
As far as I know the finnish raids targeted the admins of the torrent site, and they were commited to find out if they possed any warez or not, as the police had probable cause to suspect so, and wonder what, the police found several illegal copies of software, movies etc.
As far as I know as a finn, the site wasn't targeted, and the web server only got shutdown because it was ran by one of the raided admins, the torrent trackker kept on going being hosted on a dedicated foreing server only to be put "donw for maintanance" later by unreided admins.
well, you can always use sidetrack to bind taps in the corners of the pad to a second, third or even fourth mouse button...
But then again I find mice to be the most useless computer accessory...
Something similiar has already been done in Finland, as in here we can buy buss and metro tickets using a cellphone and sms messages, each ticket gets a verification number for ticket inspection in a sms message.
Well, free education doesn't lower the value of the degree, as it's a certificate that you really know what you are doing. Here in finland education is free all the way (the schools are funded by tax) and I'm currently studying at Helsinki University of Technics, and the governament is giving us students all kinds of benefits so it is more like the governament is paying us to study...
Even with this and the fact that with most of the lecture anyone can walk in as there is almost no control about it.
You should also remember that one of the most groundbreaking demos for a 486, 2nd reality by future crew has been redone since on a commodore 64 almost 1:1;)
That is why atleast here in finland you have to tick a checkbox when comming to the entrance exams to give your permission to publish the results, which takes care of all the privacy problems and allows the students to get the results easily.
would be nice to buy 12 of these, setup a raid 5 to give you a nice 4GB! with one hot swap spare.. nice!
Well I would rather invest to a better RAID controlle to get better return of the space, as needing 12 400GB drivers to get mere 4GB of storage seems like a waste, but it must be realible...
Well, many finnish ISPs offer bundle deals on AV and firewall software with their connections, and atleast the campus network of Helsinki University of Technics cuts infected machines.
And IMO cutting spam drones is the right thing to do, but determinating what is infected and what ain't can be little tricky at times.

Well, wait for a few days and we will see a dupe of this story...

Maybe it's just a attempt to slashdot slashdot

What about us laptop users with wireless networks, finding suitable cables to hang oneself from is hard nowadays.
Thy will probably use a proxy to modify all the pages that you view to include a banner in a frame or something like that, quite easy to do.
I hope, that their web-server ain't made of wood...
Great, now I can get all that spam in print!
well, they are probably talking about high dpi displays, so you can cram enough pixels into it, for it to pose as a usable display
The world is doomed!
