Snff sniff. You are right, I'm sorry. Please accept my humble apology. One day I will learn to not troll forums and copy pasta just like you. Alas I do not think I could ever be as good as you.
It's kind of ironic but I believe very strongly that the music industry will eventually spend all of their money in hopes to remain relevant. Quite a fitting end. I will have to remember this post in 5 or so years when it really starts to happen.
But I'm not a computer programmer and I want something that Just Works! I pay my hard earned money for my copy of Windows why should I have to sort through thousands of lines of codes just to get my system work properly?
This is why Windows will never truly be a Real OS.
Well yes, stability is good. When Company X decides to start taking up contracts of work knowing local laws and regulations and drastically over consigns its workforce actually forcing the employees to stay at work to cover the companies contracts it gets both illegal and dangerous. People get tired, do poor work, possibly get injured, co-workers take up the slack pushing themselves even further.
In terms of your speeding driver analogy your job with Health and Safety would be similar to a Police Officer pulling you over by going behind you, turning on warning lights (red/blue flashers) and guiding the idiot to the shoulder of the road. You know why they do this?
So if I do something illegal and it would cost me time and/or money to just to stop being illegal then I don't need to stop! I guess I should start stealing stuff because if I stopped I would lose money compared to when I didn't steal!
That stood out for me too. Wouldn't that imply the contracts Foxconn has already agreed to are based on the currently (over) scheduled hours? Now that their own/Apple's audit has uncovered this they are just going to shrug it off because they don't want to pay for more underpaid employees.... wow we really are going down the rabbit hole aren't we?
Awesome WM is in order. A tiling WM that expands everything to fit the screen and you can use templates and tweak them using the windows key to your hearts content. Full install of Debian Squeeze and awesome WM + Firefox open with about 10 tabs sits at about 100MB RAM (mysql + apache running as well). Can't beat it so far.
You guys make me laugh. Even if a hand full of companies employ local workers and produce at competitive prices to the Chinese what makes you think these companies won't in turn out source those jobs to China to become "More Profitable(TM)"?
Common guys lets sit down and think about this for a second. The middle class makes money via manufacturing. People who own these companies make money by giving your money to the Chinese to do the same work for a whole lot less, with the added benefit of not having to see how the sausage is made.
Even if one company attains this insurmountable goal and eventually goes public, then by their responsibility to their shareholders alone they will be obligated to fire every one and send the work out east. So stop it with this stupid pipe dream and find something the Chinese CAN'T do at a fraction of the cost and work up from there. Trying to fantasize you can make a dead simple polymer sheet cheaper than the Chinese is just not going to happen.
I have to agree. Makes you wonder though if less warranty == better longer lasting product why offer one at all? It's not like other places in the world would force a company to offer a warranty.
Maybe if we launch all the lawyers and rights holders at it they will just take it apart themselves? Just tell them there is a bunch of DVD's in the middle!
It is a double edged sword. Thin clients and SAS will cut out lots of jobs and lead to companies restructuring. Now they will be finally prepared for today's market. Then they realize everyone will be setting up shop competing with them and they will have to trim down even further. With all these IT guys out of work that will add up to quite a bit of money not being earned and of course a scarcity of money available for them to make.
Let's face it once SAS goes mainstream anyone with a couple bucks will be able to set up shop offering the same service as you with out having to pile all that cash into writing and maturing their software that took "your" company years and likely millions to get going. Your clever and efficient software and most of your departments will be replaced by Clippy and your multimillion dollar annual company will be bringing home as much if not a bit less than the workers you just let go.
The business owners of today will have to own and operate multiple businesses to make the same money they are making today. Realistically the main thing most business have over everyone else is the high entry into market and what makes that number so high? Computers, tech staff and consultants that talk in tongues. With all of that gone what really makes it so difficult to manage a business?
So your saying a self rolled script working off a binary from almost 10 years ago should apply to a multi-billion dollar a year company's server farm offering connections to the worlds biggest corporations and governments?
By now the cat is so far from the bag that no terrorist will be tweeting their actions. Most of these people don't even speak English why are they filtering out English words to begin with? Why would they use the internet to co-ordinate when they can just meet up in person or use a burn-phone like all the spy movies? Lastly think about how long it took abbreviations like LOL to come around, how long do you think it would take them to come up with their own unique lingo for "infidel" and "set us up the bomb"?
I never worked in the same industry but I guess it is a bit obvious this is an issue. Basically what PayPal is saying is this distributor is at a higher risk because of their already documented history of charge backs. OK that I can deal with. Charge a higher premium to the distributor to compensate.
But for PayPal to be dictating what legal goods can and cannot be sold in a "Free Market" is just so wrong on so many levels that the pure gall of it should be enough to shut the place down. IMO
As the old saying goes "Don't throw out the baby with the bath water".
Right now the ULPC category was never fast enough to do much other than Angry Birds, polling for mail in the background and have a few web pages going. Now with more power you have the ability to output via HDMI(mini) and have multiple apps running with a simple dual core. Where will quad + cores come into play? Partly with all the pixels getting crammed into these small displays. Most of the 10" tablets are going to be coming stock with 1900x1200 or higher, while the GPU will handle most of the pixel pushing the CPU still has to coordinate where they should be pushed to. As we get faster processors we will be able to do things like real spreadsheets, some graphics editing, video editing. These devices are converging with Netbooks already and on their way to take over Laptops using the keyboard as just an accessory. So ya I myself was one of those hoping that this time out quad core would become standard before next year and I am a little disappointed I do appreciate 2 faster and more efficient cores but I will likely wait till the faster and more efficient quads come out before I lay down any dollars.
Even a red traffic light is enforceable if you drive through it but it's hard to blame the driver when you're randomly flicking the switch.
You should take a closer look at the CD media your ISP sends you to "setup" your Internet connection.

BTW. Copy pasta is great! Needs a little salt
Any action that results in you pushing or basically making contact with an Officer will lend you to a ride in a cruiser and spending time in jail.
Sorry let me rephrase that.
You were successfully trolled.
Successful troll is successful.

You should already know how to drive

If the issue being discussed is lack of food then I think it is more than your children that need education.
If they make money from excess energy produced then wouldn't they want your business even more?
