i dont know about you guys, but what i do, is only have flash installed for IE. then whenever i see a page i want that uses flash in a non evil way (homestarrunner.com) then ill do "run -> iexplore" paste url and blam.
this leaves mozilla as pure ad free browsing bliss, so your not always constantly fighting flash ads with adblock.
Exactly, I don't think its really about theft or considerable amounts in lost revenue; its about control. Its about the *IAA is loosing it, and that scares them, scares them terribly.
yeah thats true, it is good that sony isnt "leaving all the early adopters in the lurch" and still supporting their failed memory stick...but their still FOISTING it! because their still not incorperating anyone elses memory formats along with their memory stick into any of their designs. thus their still passing memory stick off as a success and the one and only option.
wait...so im buying half life 2 because half life 1 had good graphics, not because half life 2 does?
although sequal popularity does depend on the previous title popularity, its not the sole factor. if half life 2 was called "super kill'ems" wouldnt it still have the same graphics and gameplay? and assuming great graphics and gameplay is the primary contributer to a titles popularity wouldnt it still be popular then?
freedom of speech is a small price to pay, for a cheater free online gaming enviorment...
seriously are these few good uses supposed to outway the bad?
yeah, i would really like to know where they came up with that prediction. Who are these lead analists? for all i know they are the author's 14 year old pimpley faced kid and his punk friends... and they probably judging from that prediction...theres no way anything like that can be predicted, its too far into the future. and they they pass it off as "fact"! this artical has really pissed me off, why did we link to such a shoddy example of jurnalisom? its sensational at best.
you dont see DRM on Porn either, so therefor p0rn must also be the next comming craze in home entertainment!
on a side note, id estimate that in another 10 years feature films will start to contain pornographic content.
while were at it, lets nominate that page for worst page ever to www.webpagesthatsuck.com. seriously whoever invested money for someone to write that TOS of that frontpage piece of crap is just a tard.
im looking at starting a little operation this summer of removing spyware from peoples winblows comps. looking to charge around 50-60 per machine depending on the infection level.
but i think theres enough potential here to scare normal people up enough to shelling out money, just as everyone did a few years ago when viruses were the big scare and they all went out and bought nortan. personally i think enough fear could be drummed up about spyware pretty fast via a few 30 second commercials on local tv, to generate a nice chunk of change.

theres nothing like a tall glass of SLURM while your waiting for a /.'ed page to load.
