Are you a complete moron ? The situation in Pakistan today is as relevant to the historical past as comparing the USA to ancient Egypt. Pakistan didn't exist as an autonomous state until 1947.
Try reading a little bit of fact to reduce your ignorance.
Pakistan has a very rich cultural and traditional background going back to Indus Valley Civilization, 2800 BC-1800 BC. The region of Pakistan has been invaded in the past, occupied and settled by many different people, including Dravidians, Aryans, Greeks, White Huns, Persians, Arabs, Turks, Mongols and various Eurasian groups. And indeed the region has formed a distinct cultural unit within the main cultural complex of South Asia from prehistoric times. There are differences in culture among the different ethnic groups in matters such as dress, food, and religion, especially where pre-Islamic customs differ from Islamic practices. The cultural origins come from the civilizations of North India and eastern Afghanistan, with significant influences from Persia, Turkestan and Hellenistic Greece. However, it was the first part of the subcontinent to receive the full impact of Islam. Hence it has developed an identity of its own.
Interesting how most of those results are announcing *patches* for OO vulnerabilities, and the OO on MS contingent is by far the biggest proportion anyway.
If you experience problems when using our flagship software, turn off computer and don't use it. Problem solved. This message brought to you by your ever richer Microsoft overlords.
People seem to think that by using bio-fuels they will help to cut emissions of CO2 and hence reduce global warming. but they seem to forget, they are still BURNING THE FUCKING STUFF ! Burning == heat
Anything that produces heat, that is to say, anything that is not 100% eficient at its task, contributes to global warming. Oh no, you say, it will be better than it is now with all that smog and CO2 produced from fossil fuels. Well actually, it isn't better. It's the same.
The major cause of global warming is population. Where as 100 years ago we had a relatively small number of people owning cars, houses, electric gadgets, and producing heat from everything they did, now it's starting to hurt. Until we stop using machines, global warming is inevitable. (or invent a 100% efficient machine - unlikely). Cities store heat, the roads store heat, we generate heat on purpose, we generate more heat trying to cool other places down coz they're too hot.
I don't think CO2 is the problem, our incessant production of heat is the problem, and no-one wants to do without that. After all, fire was the beginning of our civilisation.
I've been a space buff for years and their repeated failure to learn even though they've lost THREE CREWS is mind-boggling. Going to a new design that doesn't have the design flaws (sidemount etc.) the Shuttle system does may help. But continuing to make the same mistakes, even after all this... that's just amazing.
Oh yeah, 3 completely unrelated accidents in nearly 45 years, those dudes are way out of control ! Why don't they listen to you ? More people died building the Brooklyn Bridge, FFS !

Take a look around: you're witnessing the decline of one of the world's great empires, which, like many before it, was brought down not by invaders from afar, but from mismanagement and greed from within.
Take a look around: you're witnessing the decline of one of the world's great financial empires, which, like many before it, was brought down not by invaders from afar, but from mismanagement and greed from within.
There, fixed that for you.
And to be true to the facts, the US has never been invaded by land, air or sea, and only rose to pre-eminence after WW1, mainly because it was not invaded, and so did not have its infrastructure decimated. WW2 compounded that advantage. It's easy to be smug when you've never had to face the enemy on your own doorstep. Also, I wouldn't say that a state of affairs that has lasted less than 100 years could be considered a "great empire".
Another interesting thing is, largely because you have never faced invasion and/or occupation, you have come to regard the rest of the world as your enemies. You have to keep watch on all fronts, because you have no true alliances. How is that going for you ? The British Empire controlled most of the world at various stages, and yet we have cordial relationships with all our previous "dominions". And our empire lasted a bit longer than 100 years too.
And before anybody starts saying that without the USAs help in WW2, the British would all be speaking German, let me remind you that without the British forces, the USA would probably be speaking French. In fact it was due to the British daring to expect some money from the colonists to help pay towards that defence, that you went off and declared independence. Funny how when you "helped" us during WW2, we had to pay the money back, and are still paying, in one way or another.
And you somehow believe that the western world is immune to this indoctrination ?
I was watching a tv program the other day called "Weapons of World War 2" on the history channel. They have shows about tanks, fighter planes, submarines etc. This particular show was about aircraft carriers. At the beginning of the show, they showed pictures of the modern US carriers with the voice-over saying that "todays modern self contained carriers can strike at the heart of terrorism where-ever it may be in the world".
Well if thats not a load of crap then I don't know what is. Do you really believe that that is why the US maintains such a fleet - to combat terrorism ? This is revisionist, government manipulated bullshit, presented as history. But somehow, when it's China involved, manipulation of information is the worst thing in the world. Take a look closer to home.
In a world where we are constantly having our rights eroded, and being told what is best for us by the state, I find it disappointing that this subject still comes up.
It's your life - if you don't like what's happening to you, either grow a thicker skin or DO something about it ! And no, whining to the nearest "authorities" doesn't count - that's just avoiding the issue. If you are being physically bullied, then the only thing that will stop it happening is fighting back. Bullies only attack people who don't fight back - logic 101. If you are being mentally bullied, then get a life. You will never be able to take the world outside if you feel oppressed by every little hitler who says something nasty to you.
It's called self respect and it's the lack of this vital feeling that is the cause of so many of societies current problems. Without self respect you can never really respect anybody else and so no-one will respect you. Self respect is NOT being a hero in front of your mates, it's NOT acting like you are the best thing going, it IS being sure of yourself and taking responsibility for your own life and actions.
The sad thing is, the more people complain about bullying, and the less they actually do about it themselves, the worse the problem gets for everybody. It results in the government passing laws and regulations which affect everybody, even those who can and do stand up for themselves.
But remember folks, it's not your fault ! </sarcasm >
I saw this on the BBC's website yesterday, and the usual characteristics showed up immediately.
Windows supporters claim their OS is the best, because a) most of them aren't aware of what an OS actually is, b)It means they don't have to think about what they're doing, c)they're already using it so it must be the best, right ?
Mac supporters claim theirs is the best because, a)it looks so much better than any of the others, and b)everything just works (never mind that it is built using only known and defined hardware).
Linux supporters claim theirs is the best because a)it's free, b)it's not vulnerable to viruses, and c)it's not Windows or Mac.
I placed my comment on there stating my support for GNU/Linux, as in my opinion, it remains the only OS (with respect to the BBCs question) which is designed to be used as a general purpose computing system. Windows is a black box, and does it's best to restrict the users. Macs are designed for ease of use and visual appearance, not for maximum flexibility. Linux is designed to be flexible, in every sense possible. It can look as good or better than a Mac, it is not restrictive in any meaningful way, it is open to change and despite what the big two like to promote - it is not difficult to use. I don't care whether people think it's "ready for the desktop" because these people really have no concept of what a computer is for, they just want an appliance. That's up to them, but for myself, I would rather have something that can perform virtually any computing task I throw at it, and not have to pay through the nose to be a part of somebody elses restricted vision.
Of course my post on the BBC was somewhat more succinct than that, as 100 words is really far too short to make a serious point about anything.
Also, I take any opinion espoused by the BBC as suspect, because they are fairly IT illiterate themselves (at least in their reporting staff). They consider a rootkit "a virus" Pop quiz, and a pc is nearly always considered to be running Windows. I must admit, incidences of "forward slash" on TV are getting less gradually. (before you start, how many times do you use the term "full colon" to differentiate from a "semi colon" ?)
So.... The keys will be updated, someone else will come out with a "crack," and the merry dance starts all over again. Have we truly gained anything?
You only need 1 crack per key. Using that crack you re-write the data to a non encrypted format. Who says you need DRM licenced software to play HD content ? I'm sure there are pirates in the world who will make sure that each new movie will be cracked and DRM free just as quickly as dvds today.
Yuk. I can *legitimately* easily send 25,000 emails in a day (1000 user mailing list, 25 messages).
And you're doing that from a home based pc and isp ? Does your ISP know that you're using your account like that ? If you're referring to a server based in a colo then that isn't what I was referring to. If you're a business, then obviously you make arrangements with the ISP. But random windows botnets spewing spam would be hampered. And who asked for more money ? I pay my ISP for my home connection. I also pay a colo for bandwidth. Isn't that "double-dipping" ? Any mail I send goes from my pc via my ISP to my servers smtp then gets distributed. In such a case a spambot couldn't exist on my pc and get to send thousands of mails out. If my server started spewing spam, the colo hosts would kill it, but they use sensible rules. If I were sending directly through my ISPs smtp, then I would expect them to behave like my colo and kill it if it started spamming. The key here is "is the user aware of what's being sent ?" If it's a home users account sending thousands of emails a day (through the ISPs smtp), then there is a good chance it's a bot. If it turns out that the user intentionally sent thousands of mails out, then lets look at the headers and decide if it's spam or not.
Excellent cigarette rolling paper !
If anybody can actually find this mythical vmware image can you post a link please.
