No, you misunderstand - both of you should be airborne. In fact, spaceborne would be good. You might want to occupy yourselves with the outstanding repairs on the Hubble.
Stupidy is not self curing in all cases. It certainly will be in this case, though. Wouldn't work in France - you'd never find 7 people who could (or would) agree on a destination.
No and we don't have natural disasters everyday, either. (Unless you count Bill Gates) But when we do have a disaster which takes down the power distribution network.........
Please accept my award for the stupidest gag of the week. It has been one of these weeks - so I've had to content with a lot of stupidy - but you win the award with a considerable margin. The moderators should, in my humble oppinion, remove your post. Have you considered doing away with yourself? It would be a kindness which you could offer the world. Have a really good day
We are not here to copy cockroaches, but to squash them.
Now who said that ?
Was maybe Raymond hisown self. Don't know - honest.
Anyhow, ole Raymond there is doin' a fine job. His article suggests that he actually read all the literature. Round of applause ?
I'll address it - I think he writes interesting stuff. I think he writes thoughtful articles. I think he has had the occassion to look at the Swiss closely.
Keep up the good work, Roland
It does seem unfair that Microsoft doesn't have to pay while smaller businesses do. Is this the "new" take on the idea that we are all equal before the law (aka the state) but some are more equal than others ?
I'm not into the Microsoft/Linux argument - but I use Linux, and it works really well for me. I converted 2 years ago. I decided that I didn't want to pay the Microsoft tax anymore. But I just decided for me - didn't try (and am not trying) to influence others. Like to offer an American expression I learned a while ago though - you can "vote with your dollar" if you want to. If I can do it, you can too.
For the politicians - it was ever thus, and it always will be. There is just a slight "geographical" change to make in the vocabulary. In the US, it's called making "campaign contributions". In Britain it's "party contributions". In France it's "anonymous donations" and "party contributions from the militants".
In Nigeria, of course this is called "corruption" - these poor souls are "under-developed".
Just a question of vocabulary - and scale perhaps.
Yes, well perhaps he thought to be funny. Perhaps. I think that he really was "exorcising" what was a beautiful little dream a lot of us had - if we're honest.
I started with Microsoft just before Windows 95 became available. I still remeber how much difficulty I had to get it stable and usable. But I remember how beautiful it was. How much I liked it.
How much I thought it would improve - no, how sure I was that it would improve.
I too have been seeing somebody else lately - in fact for quite some time. She is improving as I hoped - being not commercially orientated. There is no way I'd return to the Windows fold. But I regret.... I regret the "image", the "dream" of progress.
Can't see a gate now without wanting to kick it.
No joke, Bill, old chum. No joke, I do assure you.
And I don't think our friend "SC" was even trying to be funny
Three - it's obvious
And during the third part ..... remember to duck

Yep ! I'm with you
How much is that in US dollars ? Sorry - just curious.

To each his own, brother, to each his own .....
Why did you listen to Mr. Shatner's new album ? Or am I missing something ?

Suggestion - eat more chocolate - that's how the Swiss get to be the way they are.
Me too, chum. Me too.

True - Iceland is not a member of the EU. Excuse me, I'm just frustrated - I was going to say that, and you beat me to it.

And this has nothing to do with the oft heard term "bubleh", I suppose ? Nothing to do with bubble-heads either - or so you'll be quick to tell me.
And justly so !
Yes, I agree. And I wish my daughter (she's a card) might be clearer. Sorry - but just couldn't help myself
The USA has switched to the metric system ? Well I'll be .......
If "cooperate" means that we have to believe it when you folks say it - then never. We always check.
Very true. But you're missing the point. I live in Grenoble - the laws of physics get bent here every day. Including Sundays.
Open Source users do it in public ? OK - but use one of these British telephone boxes ; they have virii, but they cut down on draughts
I, for one, belive this to be the case. In fact I'm sure of it. Everybody - and I mean eveybody - should own a dictionary.
