I have a gamestop in my town. I try to support them whenever I can. I have a PSP and buy used titles there regularly.
I can't believe that they have the buying/selling power to get exclusives on any big titles.
Do you think this is coming from smaller titles/publishers to get support from a national vendor?
I bought a PSP a couple weeks ago and have been playing mostly golf on it since then but will definitly play the GTA games and some of the FPS games. It seems like a very cool device to me. The screen is excellent, the video/audio capabilities are cool.
I commute to work on a train and having the option to play a game/listen to music/watch a video are all very appealing.
It doesn't cost much more than an Ipod and can do sooooooo much more. I am surprised more people don't use them on the train.
Too funny, when I clicked on this story, the add that came up on the right was for GTA: Vice City Stories. Just goes to show that no publicity is bad publicity...
A friend of mine got one of these a while ago. I went to the site and ran through the configuration process to see how much he had paid. I was amazed/aghast to see that one of the options was a "high performance" power cable with "super pure" copper or some such nonsense. They were either $30 or $50 dollars and were a recommended option. These people have no shame. Or may had no shame, it is no longer an option. The alien ice $200 fan for your vid card is still there though... At least you get a cool alien looking grill with your $5 fan.
There are only two ways to get broadband: telephone wires or cable. Those suggesting that we can simply switch to an ISP that isn't being evil are missing this point. If the cable companies and the phone companies both decide to start doing this, there will be nowhere left to go.
A friend of mine who works at hoosier net says the big phone companies just won a decision which is basically going to put them out of business. I don't think the telephone companies have to let other ISP's use their wires any longer. So his company will no longer be able to sell t1 lines to small business's. This will make companies like earthlink go away eventually.
Most shops out there have had to select a vendor of X86 based systems quite some time ago. I wonder what Sun thinks is compelling enough about these servers to get people to switch. Compaq's proliant servers have been around forever and come in Xeon and Opteron flavors. I think Sun's service is far better than IBM or HPaq's, but I doubt that their hardware is any better than the other X86 server vendors that have a lot of history with the platform.
I don't think my original post indicated that I thought this theorem was not valid. I was asking for help in seeing why it seemed trivially false. Thanks for providing the answer and for the attitude!
I took a look at this, it seems trivial to come up with a map that could not be colored with 4 colors. Am I missing something? Think of a state or country that is long horizontally and borders 4 or more states along it's top.
I can't believe that Apple has not gone to a 2 button mouse with a wheel. I can't remember the last time I saw anyone with a Linux/Windows machine that was not using a scroll mouse. It is clearly a design that overwhelming majority of users find useful.
I know you can buy third party mice, but it just seems ridiculous not to incorporate it into what you get from Apple. Also, for people who have added a scroll mouse to their Macs, how well supported are the additional buttons and scroll wheel across various Mac applications?

'nuff said.

I used to be a big sun supporter. They hardly seem relevant any longer.
Sun needs something, I am pretty sure Jonathan Schwartz is NOT it.

Of course they have to be green, how else can we bask in it's soothing green glow?
Jason's is definitly the best. It isn't even close.

Excellent!
