A friend who is studying in sweeden at the moment has basically a scratch card with 40 numbers on it, when she goes to login she enters her username, password and then scratches off a panel to get a 8 digit numeric token to enter.
When she has used about 30/40 the bank send out a new card.
Its a whole lot cheaper than handing out SecureID devices to customers and i'm really suprised that most banks dont have this already, its the size of a credit card and fits nicely in a wallet.
I've been looking at the PHP related security hole and this does not have anything to do with the exploit the worm uses.
The PHP exploit was to do with the length part of a serialized string, it wasn't correctly enforced and a suitably large enough value would crash a crash and print out contents of the stack which could include any variable within the script. s:1000:"test"; the 1000 part is not correctly checked.
The phpBB exploit is regarding a remote code execution vulnerability, in this case it uses this vulnerability to fetch a perl script from a remote server and write it to the forum before executing it using the system command in PHP.
My Aunt and Uncle are opticians with their own practices and will always recommend that people avoid laser surgery.
From what I get explained is that they cut the curvature of your usually spectacle lens into the lens of your eye.
The problem is that they lift a flap to do this, the flap is just put back over and left to heal so rubbing your eye after surgery or general movement can lift this flap which is bad.
It also thins the eye lens which is usually 11mm thick could end up as thin as 6mm.
Also once your get older you'll most likely end up back wearing glasses.
Well does my Sony DVD player fall under the same category?
When i put in a DVD it starts playing the DVD. If i put in a picture CD it starts a slideshow...

So this worm only affects phpBB 2.0.10 and below.
