We build our houses from brick and stone. We build our sheds from wood, various sorts of board and tar paper - very similar materials to what you'd use in a house.
I vaguely remember a tale of a housebreaker entering a single womans house, and going into her bedroom, where her cat was sleeping on the bed. IIRC, it quickly woke up, launched itself into the attackers face, and scratched his eyes out.
Possibly urban myth, but still a reason why it's stupid to underestimate cats. OTOH, someone probably has to be stupid to be break into a house, but...
Go to a super market car park, stand near the road, and just watch the drivers for half an hour.
You'll never want to be on the road again after the display of universal incompetence you'll see. I had to do this as part of my motorcycle training in the UK, and getting on the bike again was a severe brown trousers moment.
Choose no moving parts. Choose not having an easily damaged surface. Choose data that doesn't fade. Choose timeless hardware interfacing. Choose near immortality for you data.
However it'll outperform today's Mac Mini that costs $499.
I think that all depends on whether you measure performance in MHz, or in the amount of productive work a machine allows you to do. Macs might not do too well in the first category, but they're devastatingly powerful in the second.
You have to understand the nature, purpose and context of our creation.
Our nature is that we have a vice-filled soul, a virtue-filled incorruptable spirit, and a free will which uses the mind to make choices and then command the physical body.
That may be your understanding and your nature.
I'm merely one facet of the infinite. In order for the infinite to have meaning it must contain everything. The same universe repeated over and over again, each time with only the tiniest particles state being different. My soul has experienced not only this life, not only every life, but every possible life.
Polar opposites rule "creation". It simultaneously is everything and nothing. It has no purpose whilst having every purpose. My nature is duality, an expression of every pair of opposites. My soul and spirit are infinitely perfect whilst infinitely corrupt. Free will is merely an illusion because in the infinite everything must exist, including concepts.
I'm already immortal and universal, with my every imagining merely an expression of another facet of the infinite, so I'll pass. Thanks for the offer though.

You're joking, right?
;)
Us Brits have a term for American houses - we call them "sheds"

My honda rebel motorbike, that cranks up everytime = a beautiful thing
Maybe they're aiming these pets at owners of old Brit bikes?
You forgot the few thousand years of genetic manipulation by human breeders.
Let's face it, a real dog is hardly the most natural of beasts in the first place.
Wake me up when they build a cuddly robotic kitten, that will ride around on my shoulder being cute at people for the rest of eternity!
C. Cell phones don't cause cancer.
What relevance is the data if they can't divide it into demographics?
So why are all the best drugs for such purposes illegal?
Who needs an adblocking extension when it can all be done with a stylesheet anyway?
No.
You do realise that the people who even know, let alone care, probably only make up 0.1% of the ITMS customer base, if that?

So when can we expect a port of gdb? ;)
It's bad that I can remember enough of the sound of C64 tapes to know that Thriller sounds scarily similar...
;_;
I'm old too!

...as someone under the age of 40, I'll turn the sounds off, and listen to more of "that electronic racket".
If anything, with the Bluetooth support it includes, a Mac promises to be a better development platform this time round.
I'd worry about someone build a Replicator out of it :S
I can just see the swarms swooping down on Toys R Us, hunting for new NXT bricks. Suburbs decimated in the search for new bricks!
Admittedly, robots comprised of bits of Harry Potter won't be so scary, but the Blacktron ones will be hardcore!
It's got Bluetooth, and they say it will be controllable from a host machine, be it a computer, a PDA, or a mobile phone. What more could you ask for?
It generally helps if axioms aren't disprovable.

It's all very zen. Yet not at all too.

I'm sorry, but you are displaying a complete lack of knowledge of any research in Theory of Mind from the last century.
A large overdose of magic mushrooms will quickly render the Theory of Mind laughable to you.
