Frankly, it's his/her body, and what they do with it off the clock is none of my fucking business. If they know the risks, I don't see this as worse than a doctor who rock climbs or races motorcycles as a hobby.
I always found it hilarious that no one in the movie "Hidden Figures" was shown smoking, when in reality the whole crew would have been puffing like old steam engines.
Troll-boy doesn't realize that the death penalty isn't an option for the jury in those cases, unless he's from Iran or Saudi Arabia (which may not have jury trials anyway).
Their drug tests can't distinguish between levels of THC metabolites from second-hand smoke and levels of THC actually likely to get someone high. Welcome to Dumberica, I guess, land of the Puritans, home of the zealots.
Typical of the US at large.. partaking in pleasurable activities leads to blacklisting. I don't like Musk for his Tesla spare parts policies and other reasons, but this is just abusive and stupid.
Not that Ford will have anything I want to buy now that their entire US lineup of cars is going away other than the Mustang. I have no love for muscle cars, SUVs, or pickups. Focus was decent while it has lasted, though.
It's probably not truly disabled unless you snip the antenna cable. Services that help you may be disabled, but it might still be able to phone home to the automaker...
hope they go bankrupt as they should have done in 2008. Not that this problem is unique to Ford -- any car with a 3g/4g modem built in is basically spying on its owner. At least there's a solution (for now) -- icepick through the antenna cable...
This is why I love paying cash for efficient 90s cars. No spyware garbage built in.
Pearls before swine. 99.9% of mobile phone photos are taken and never viewed again. People spend too much time taking photos, not enough time enjoying the world around them.
Funny: BMW. Mercedes, VW, etc all sell cars and seem to make OK money selling them. Even Tesla is doing fine with models 3 and S.
Many competent and intelligent people use pot and other drugs. One doesn't preclude the other.

Why should patients care if their doctor smokes weed outside of working and on-call hours? Probably safer than them being a drunk or opioid addict.
Assuming your car isn't financed with them, do they know who your insurapig corepiration is?
Hopefully, most will be in nursing homes in the next decade or so, though...
SpaceX has done what NASA and Boeing have been unable to do. The "fuck it" culture works, apparently.
Trump is high on his own Alzheimer's...

Sadly, the Fed-scum still keep it illegal at their level...
They're not planning to make cars anymore other than the Mustang. Only SUVs and trucks for US market.
That's my boy... same line of thinking that keeps lining corporate pockets. Keep up with those Joneses!!
Incorrect - plenty of parts of the us with no cell signal, cars still work there. It would just think it's somewhere with poor reception.
Bingo. They sold it to cowards in the name of safety, for the cheeeeeldren.
With Ford and other connected cars, damn right you're not the customer. You're the product.

And the business school profs who teach them how to be better predators are also sociopathic trash...
Connected cars haven't existed for "decades" in the sense they do now. Credit data? Sure. But not user movements and real time location tracking.

Old Henry was also a big admirer of Hitler...
