I bought a 60 watt kit from Costco.com, which I have charging a deep cycle battery that powers my 12-volt outdoor landscaping lights at night. The lights are much brighter than the typical solar lights, but still completely solar powered.
I also have a 3kw grid-tie system, but no battery storage on it.
I'm guessing from a little bit of investigation that your institution is running WebCT Vista 3, which is not the most recent product from WebCT. (And my sister goes to a school in your system and complains to me about the tech support there too).
Vista 4 is better. I think the company is working hard to make the product compatible with multiple browsers, including blind readers. They have to balance this with functionality. Have you seen any products, including open source projects, that are better and would be fully accepted by faculty?
I'm at the WebCT user conference that wraps up today in San Francisco. It's interesting hearing reactions as word spreads about the new Windows name. One person put it as "so now we can run Vista on Vista?"
CNN/Money has a story out expanding on the topic of how companies are starting to pay closer attention to employee blogs. "For companies, the growing popularity of blogs is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, corporate managers recognize the power of word-of-mouth as a sales tool. On the other hand, they're acutely aware of the dangers inherent in the rapid and widespread dissemination of company information."

No matter what governments decide to mandate, if it is perceived to be moving backwards, technology will find a way around it.

I could only find reference to stealthat.com, a site created to "provide information regarding one Leo Stoller," in the google cache. Where'd it go?

Having nothing else to do, I'll use this opportunity to show off my pumpkin from last year.
