"Dubbed i2hub, the network has drawn thousands of students from universities around the country to trade files and chat at speeds that far exceed what even ordinarily swift campus networks can provide."
Yup, I just looove to be able to send my words faster than before! Reminds you of the modem era again, eh?
Well... Im mostly into Hard Trance, Club and Rave music... And im pretty sure, if I ever posted one of my playlists, it would get around 0 hits, even with several hundreds songs in each.
This is mainstream music iTMS sells. Maybe a new music store from another company could make a fortune selling non-mainstream music? I mean, non-pop-music.
Actually, If im not mistaken, the bible tells that God created the earth about 8,000 BC! And we all know that this number is quite meaningless... (Unless, of course, that you are a die-hard christian)
What if a zero or two was forgotten somewhere, and it should actually read 80,000 or even 800,000 BC? Then there should be plenty of time for the icecaps to melt, flooding the earth.. And then earth uses a few ten-thousands of years to go back to 'normal'.
The point with the harddrive in the iPod is that you can fill it up with everything you got, and never think of getting the right disc with you. Its always there.
And the most scary part is that he's going to use his force powers to make us all buy his new DVD-trilogy, so that he can buy his new land-speeder(TM)!
Even though he do have money enough...
To have one of those at home in my own garden!
Place it somewhere, two years after you dig it up, move it 5 meters and let it be there for two years more. If you continue in this way, you should get a small gold harvest from the underground after a decade...:)
Easy money!
Apple does do a lot of internal testing, but I guess Field testing is a no no.. (Apple secrecy you know)
I remember watching photo's from the Apple campus a few years ago. Machines pounding mouse-buttons, turning mac's on and off and so on, just to see how long they'll live....
But yes, this is a big flaw and I dont understand how it could get through the testing phase!
The first generations iPods also had a connector problem.. My 10 Gb still has it, the wire sometimes gets a mm. out of the iPod, making the remote useless. Audio still on though...
I dont think the trailer gave it all away... At the end were he removes the mask, im pretty sure it was Peter Parker wearing it...:) ANd that makes the end still up in the open.
I didnt like the first one... Tooby Maquire (?) who plays Peter Parker really didnt fit the character, the CGI was pretty crappy and the story/background/filming wasnt as dark as the original Spiderman cartoons... And the plot was pretty straight-forward, borring if you ask me. (Thats just my opinion)
Fortunately the new trailer looks like it has a darker feel, and (YEAH) character development!
You have to zip it, because some non-/.-geeks have trouble right clicking on the link and choose 'save as'. They need to have it as easy as possible, and most of them have learned to use a zip-file. (Or they just click it and see what happens)
As soon as PDA's, cellphones and computers merge for real, then we'll need a light version of OpenGL. And better to be a few years early, then a few years late!
Just look at the N-Gage, I'd say OpenGL light edition is needed, and pretty soon.
doubleacr writes "MacSlash is reporting that PlayFair has been removed from SourceForge.net. Didn't see that one coming."
He has to be the only dude on earth that didnt see it comming... It was pretty obvious...
Yes, but I hope they dont go through the same battle they did last time they turned up with a marsian stone...
Remember? First it was 'Life confirmed!', then it was 'Big joke - Laboraty faults etc. etc.' and at last it came out as 'Uhmm... We really dont know if this is proof of life outside of earth or not...'....
But this is NASA. So hopefully they are going to do some major testing forbefore they speak up!
Yes yes... And next month it'll be touted as the next iPod 'killer'.
Nothing new here, move along.
This is not the digital mediaplayer you were looking for.
Blizzard ussually always get the game right! The only problem they have is that they tend to have problems balancing the games... Look at Warcraft III and Diablo II, still not close to being balanced even after 10+ updates!

I am more curious as to how loud it'll sound... 7 times the normal boom? Havent read much about mach-speeds...
That if Microsoft didnt excist, Apple would rule the desktop world... But ask yourself.. At 95% of the worlds computers, would Apple be any better?

Well... You got to give "Dungeons & Dragons: The Movie that"... They did manage to ride the 'crappy movie' wave, BEFORE LOTR came out...
The only good thing about that movie...
How long do you think it takes, for someone to find a hole in this piece of software, to easily upload vira to someone's computer with WinXP? ;)
