The OSX version is in closed beta right now. They should be opening for more volounteers in the next 2-3 weeks. THey've already said to expect the final version in 3 months... THats a loooong time...:(
Is it really a good idea to think about terraforming a planet before we're sure that there isn't any life on it?
Seriously. If you show up with 10.000 giant diggers and some really spiffy biological 'I can grow trees in 5 minutes' mixture, im pretty sure you have checked out the underground, plus done at least SOME research.
But on top of that... Major companys are probably ignoring this anyway... Money above all remember, this is a world of economics...:/

Beyond that, a computer is a machine that you usually don't want to be visible. You see the screen, you see the mouse, and you see the keyboard. Put the mobo in a closet or a hole in the wall for all I care.

Why not go with a nice one, something more Mozillaish... Or Pinstripe maybe? Thats definately a winner.

A 100 Mhz FSB, isnt that pretty slow now a days? People on the mac have been ranting for years about Apple being stuck at 167 Mhz FSB... I would expect a 2 Ghz CISC processor being capable of filling that up before you can say Microsoft Schmicrosoft!
If Unix support means OSX support too? Or at least a 3rd party port then.
If it has 100% MS Office compatability and it runs under OSX, it would take a lot of presseure of Appleworks "7".

Carmack has several times stated that Doom III specs- and technology-wise is finished. Now they just need to find all the bugs, tweak it, optimize it, and make sure MS gets 50% of all the money it produces...
