If anyone out there is using a NEC MultiSync 5d, and has gotten it to go over 1152x864 please tell me how! I did it in windows, but in X I can't get it to work. I don't have the manual, and a search of the net was pretty much fruitless. I found lots of stuff about the other Nec MultiSync 5x models, but nothing about the 5d.

You can push and pull off of your partner. Besides, all you really need is your hips. You can't push and pull, but you can wiggle in opposite directions. That's usually what does the job on earth, too.;-)
If they ever made a zero-G porno, I'd watch it just for laughs. I can see their big selling point being something like "Incredible and erotic one mile c*m shot!" or something obscene about the way breasts jiggle in space.
Population control. We have chosen to adopt moral standards for our living. Now we are overpopulated. It's our problem now, since we took control over that part from nature.
I'm not saying that it's a good thing, either.. but.. someday we'll see the consequences of it.
It's good to see someone else has taken up his experiment. He used to do something sort of like this once in a while before he died. I think in the last trial, they successfully created some DNA, but no life.
It will be interesting to see what becomes of this!
Here's how that worked. A regular camera takes images of the light reflected back from an object. The "NightShot" had an option to turn night vision on -- even during the day. So, people would attach filters which block visible light, but not infraread. They would go out during the day (people are out then) and use the lens filter while "NightShot" was turned on. The result was a camera that effectively saw through clothes during the day. (Apparantly you couldn't see through the clothes at night due to some atmospheric effect or something)
To fix the problem Sony changed the camera so that the "NightShot" only worked at night. At first I was thinking that this was probably just some light sensor that you had to cover up.. but then it hit me that that light sensor was probably behind the lense, and covering that up won't do you any good!:)
The 'dumb laws' are the current ones that are still being enforced but for the wrong reasons. This list contains ones like the six or more women living in one house law.
That's why there are no Sorority houses in Pennsylvania. Fraternity houses are just fine, though.:)
Actually, that's where the phrase "Rule of Thumb" came from. In Russia, it was the largest diameter of a stick which one could beat their wife. So, I guess Russian women want to marry men with small hands.;-)
Don't be such a pessimist!;-) The person who entered it could have entered his credit card number incorrectly, and the resulting number just happened to be the Novell CC#. Also, it could have been a mix-up on the back-end.
That's why I set it so it would not automatically look for the methods. If I couldn't remember it, I just hit (i forget the combo, but i think im right here) ALT+SPACE to bring up the list. Best of both worlds.
in MSVC++ 6.0, I would do something like the following:
SomeClass.methodName(...); or SomeClassPtr ->methodName(...);
Then I would go back (alt left arrow does it quickly) and remove the space, just to avoid having to wait while it digs up the method names. I eventually turned it off, and just invoked it with alt-space or something when I wanted it. (It actually is a pretty nice feature to have.. those of you who say that you should remember your method names have not worked on projects with many many many methods. You can't remember them all.)
Mozilla, while being a monster, could be wort sponsoring. Personally, I'd rather see a Gtk+ port of Konqueror, the KDE browser, or some funding of Mnemonic (anyone remember that effort?).
That would be very hard to do. Konqueror uses QT's signals and slots to do a lot of stuff. GTK doesn't have that, although it may be able to do it with libsig++. Why would it need to be ported to GTK, anyway? QT is not evil.
I was under the impression that glx could also write directly to video memory, bypassing the X server. That's why you can't take screenshots of it using a standard X screen grabber.
That may be only when using the AGP features of an AGP card in X, though.
Yes, I was in no way implying that Muslims are terrorists. I'm just saying that the government probably scans for that word as well because they have religious stereotypes.
No, the Poison Ivy I saw had both versions on the same disc.
one of the poison ivy series (I really don't know which one.. I saw it at the video store) had the R rated version, as well as the unrated version.
:)
Not quite on the lines of what you're talking about, but kinda close!

Here's a link about what this really is. It's a beta.
The alternate text on the image is "Bill Gates"
... but Steve is a much bigger man!
Thanks to both of you!
:)
;-))
I had gotten the sync range by trial and error.. but my biggest flaw was attempting to calculate the mode lines by hand!
I'll give this a try later on and see if I can't get 1280x1024! (I'm happy with 1152x864.. but.. why not push it to the limit?
Well, you could get that from the trailor. ;-)

dude.. the little guys can swim up too. ;-)
Maybe it is hard for them to swim in zero g, though.

somebody moderate that one back up. it's not flamebait.

Yes, there are a lot of Muslims in the world, but far less of them live in the United States. They could monitor those calls much easier.

you forgot PRESIDENT and ALLAH :)
Actually, they figure out where they live by the environment variable KDEDIR.
Supposedly, this is being removed for kde2 and replaced with some magic api that knows where the kde base is.
Well, if it's anything like Q2, by the time the linux version comes out most of the kinks will be worked out.
:)
It does feel rather "pushed".
I need to get a new video card.
