It will be interesting to see if google gets involved in this war.
I hope google don't have adverts in the browser like the version of opera i saw a few years back.
Unless ofcourse the browser does something radical and new that I wouldn't mind paying (looking at adverts) for.
Nope your not, those are guidelines and its up to the pig booking you!
I've been done for 44mph, probably because of my attitude to the filth.
P.S. I was beat up by a policeman (on duty) once.
The Department for Transport won runner-up for its electronic vehicle-identification program, currently under development. Known as the Spy in the Dashboard, the program will embed microprocessor chips into cars. The chips would automatically report any instances of speeding, illegal parking and other grievous offenses to authorities, who would follow up with a summons.
We already have cameras logging every vehicle that drives into London, cameras logging the time it take you vehicle to drive between two points and issuing a sumons, car tax cameras that issue a sumons when its out of date, GATSO camera that automaticly issue sumons, Digital GATSOs and so much more! Also in the area I live in (Bristol) the police equip old ladies with speed guns, and they take down your number plate if your speeding, you don't get a fine just a nasty letter.
Are there any things like this in the states?
BTW. Some guy got his fined nulled because they took a picture of him face on and he was in the car with his lover, this played on some european privacy law.
Any every seen the songs by Aphex Twin, Plaid and some others with pictures hidden in the spectral analysis data of the images? Anyone tried it with these wav files?
Nah I'm listening to Del the Funky Homosapien at the moment.
Rest of the time it is normally strange mashup ragga dancehall jungle gabba type stuff, I don't know the proper term for it (Breakcore | Toxic Dancehall).
I listen to loads of stuff, its just my favorite.
I can confirm this... At the 20/20 Microsoft and Linux Debate in Newport (no it wasn't open and honest!)
I spied a Microsoftie listening to Toxic by Britney Spears on his MP3 player (I can't remember what it was but it wasn't an Apple iPod).
This was after the debate^H^H^H^H^H^Htalk.
My uncle suffers with Schizophrenia to quite a severe extent.
I can only assume from my grandmothers accounts the difficulties in dealing with this. I have always been somewhat distanced from him due to his illness and \ or treatment (he is in a hospital far away), so this may not be too accurate.
The first step is to completely understand the illness, and how the person suffering. Be that suffering due to perceiving things that are not real and mental anguish rather than traditional pain.
It is difficult when someone fails to recognise their own mother, hears voices or sees things but remember this is an illness.
As far as I am aware my uncles quality of life has improved since moving to somewhere specialized to deal with things like this. While he was local to me he actually got the reputation as the village tramp. This page is a community edited guide to places in the UK and it's quite a shame to see his name included.
People don't understand, one of the things you could do to improve quality of life is try to educate the people around you.
Sorry if this doesn't make a great deal of sense as it's a bit rushed (I want to go home).
Feel free to contact me to discuss my experiences further and while I'm not so rushed.
I'm not a that great with science, but isn't the speed of light not actually a constant but changing with the expansion of the universe (only page I could find).
I know many people here are better at science (not to mention spelling, grammer, coding, e.t.c), than I am, so i ask does this not make a lot of these predications less accurate than they might think?
My company implements open source solutions for a small fee, and when asked to install some OSS we always donate a percentage of the fee towards the projects we use.
It would be great if everyone 'played nice' but I can't see that happening.
Even better, If a start exploded far away enough not to kill us and all devices that depended on anything magnetic broke down.
BTW - I could be wrong about the science side of this...
(Perhaps thats what the world needs?)
Anyone notice that he had a tele prompt for that?
Sony make a 10 disc autochanger that will handle MP3 cds, you can get it for £180ish if you shop around.

Does anyone know, or would anyone like to guess how many patents slashdot violates?
In plenty of areas here is some information from my local force.
Your right the example on the page is in-between Blagdon and WsM.
Glad I don't live too near there.

Now if only we could get George W. Bush to play this while eating a Pretzel.
Its a good job Microsoft project code names don't get taken through to release. XP is easier to type the Whistler.
Any one else know of any products being released with their code names?
I know not all products have code names etc. I'm just interested.
I believe most cable TV boxes in the UK are running a version of linux.
TV + Linux = Simpsons, Futurama and many other programs I don't get time to watch.
I thought the Windows kernel popped more ofter?

Doh! It was meant to be funny! If Macs wern't so exspensive I might have one but for now its F\OSS software for stability and performance.
I can't wait until I can afford a Mac.
