How many bases do they have in foreign countries? Do you know of any country the lunatics in Tehran has bombed with Jet aircraft? How many pre-emptive wars have they started? What about drones. How many countries do they currently have drones operating in? What about their medium and long-range missile toys? Where have they tried those toys.

The fact that at that time they played down the advent of the Internet time and time again. Claiming it was just a fad and it'll pass. They squandered a near monopoly with Internet Explorer. They were woefully late to Internet search. They slept in the mobile space while Apple and Google moved to finger touch based systems. They snoozed in the virtuailzation space while VMWare ate the lunch. And now the "cloud" segment where they are playing catch up with Window Azure and Office 365. Balmer should be fired.

They do not sell your information to third parties as you would like to have people believe. Not sure a significant enough amount of North American multinationals have woken up to the issue. Many business are crawling all over themselves to get a piece of the "emerging China market" and that is their focus while completely ignoring the fact that all China wants to do is learn so it can create its own to compete with them. I see it didn't go good for Google. It won't go good for Bing. GMs marketshare in China is dismal. And on and on. US companies will never gain a foothold in China unless they have a worldwide monopoly such as Windows. And even with Windows its mostly bootleg versions that MS did not get any $ for. The only exception I can think of is Boeing and even their tech is on the list for homeland replication. Once they start building big jets then Boeing is done.

The problem I have is not with patents its with trivial obvious patents and software-patents and the abuse of the marketplace with such patents/software-patents. Software is protected by copyright. Also its blatantly obvious that Apple is abusing the system with software-patents. blatantly obvious things such as swiping a screen and displaying thumbnails in a photo app should not be patented. And their abuse of these trivial patents along with trying sue people for creating tablets that look like television with rounded corners is ridiculous. It is these practices in the marketplace that has soured my view of Apple and its why I am no longer recommending Apple products to anyone and why I am doing every thing I can to migrate all our customers away from Apple products. And just because the USPTO enables abuse does not mean that Apple is a saint for abusing the system. When Apple stops abusing the marketplace with trivial software-patents I will reconsider until then the migration continues.
