    If I mistype, so be it tell me so. It is usually one character so is easier to fix then look through the garbage from the search engine.

    At least with FOSS, you can quickly identify and fix problems that show up. Proprietary software fixes only happen when they have no other choice but to fix it.

    This works for both the power user and the casual user. Sit down to the Windows 8 computer. Make sure you have a Windows 7/Mac OS/Linux computer next to you. Now the moment you get confused about the Windows 8 screen, go to your other computer and click Google. Then type how to .... That is how I do it for Win 8 and Server 2012, and I have been using Microsoft since DOS 1.0 days.

    Several types of systems could be developed including competing ones. But if you think about this, it could backfire on Amazon, because if there are local operators that offer the service to local merchants, and since Amazon now has to pay sales tax, the local merchants may be able to compete with Amazon.

    You are right about altitude the higher up the stronger the winds and lower the temperature and air pressure. Some engineers would have to determine the optimal flying range of those parameters for the drone.

    If you live in Chicago, regardless of where it originates it has to fly down your street to your house or apartment and if it is windy, it could be a problem.

  14. What it really is affecting their freedom through tenure to do whatever they please rather then trying to serve the public as they should be by teaching. I hope this kills the concept of tenure, having absolute job security is analogous to having absolute power, IMHO.

    The concept is simple, both Unity and Gnome Shell say do it our way or hit the highway. We hit the highway. One size does not fit all, nor does one desktop pattern fit all work flows. If your workflow is simple, then Unity is great for you. But those of use that need more flexibility we have to move on.

    My latest endeavor with JS made me very upset. JS does not do integer arithmetic well. Example to do a proper integer addition that is reliable I have to do the following: a + b | 0 or it could end up with decimal values. It wasted several hour of my time to find that one out.

    I think it is a great idea, and to the points about the Gnome 3 and Cinnamon diverging, yes they will diverge. But I bet Gnome will die and most linux platforms will adopt Cinnamon. Good work guys. Stick something in there eye :)

    Monsanto in the U.S. has made it illegal to label produce as "not" being genetically modified. There is no way to know if the produce we buy is GMO or normal. We have to assume it is. That has to stop. Allow us to be informed and make choices then I don't care. But when I serve my family corn or potatoes I want to know they are not GMO.
