  1. I disagree... on Why Desktop Email Still Trumps Webmail · · Score: 0

I highly disagree due to the moodiness of desktop email clients. Web mail is always going to work, if it's not working it will be very soon. Desktop email can have hundreds of things go wrong, full pst files corruptions of data. I would have to say that Thunderbird has given me the most headaches of all of them too because of the huge learning curve involved with it's use.

When I finally moved people to it I found that I had to move them back to what they were using before because there was so much of a difference in the user interface. If they would make their software more similar to things people have been using for years they would have much more success. In my opinion Thunderbird should still be in beta testing. This is just my opinion of what I have experienced, I'm sure others use it fine.

  2. Never happened until google bought youtube... on Viacom Says "YouTube Depends On Us" · · Score: 0

Funny how this never happened until Google bought you tube, now that the website has a corporate identity why not sue it and make some money. Viacom should just stick to dumbing down America's youth with MTV. If only Stephen Colbert could see what his employer is doing to this fine country.

  3. It's very simple to figure out why this is... on CD Music Sales Down 20% In Q1 2007 · · Score: 0

It's not hard to figure out why this is happening. Once everyone got CD burners, they saw how badly they were being gouged for their $16 CD of Lynard Skynard that they only bought for the one song Sweet Home Alabama. If any of these musicians were in it for the correct reasons none of these problems would exist because they would be selling their product for slightly above the cost of producing them rather than a 1500% increase. I have only bought 3 CDs in the past four years, and they were musicians that aren't selfish and actually care about their fans. Once again, the industry is clueless.

This is something that should have been done a year ago here in the states. It doesn't hurt anyone because the money they save will allow the bulbs to pay for themselves within a year. Finally we are starting to see the value of having human interaction, has nobody here seen Terminator 3 or what? There's no prblem with having people count votes, there's plenty of people that would rather count them instead of giving thirs lives to the military. No matter what you do to help freedom and justice you are a good person, it's the people that start the things that combat freedom and justice that cause the problems.

    Peace brothers and sisters.

  11. One more reason... on Was the 2004 Election Stolen? · · Score: 0

One more reason to keep honest bipartisan humans counting our ballots rather than pre-programmed easily corruptable voting machines doing it. What is wrong with keeping human's in the loop, are we trying to end up with no voice at all? Is that the reason we all go to work every day and work our asses off? So these people can steal our voices and keep the sheep working for them for almost nothing?

    It's time we TAKE ACTION!

  12. Re:They just don't get it. on House Passes Ban on Social Site Access · · Score: 0
The number of people that don't vote in every election cycle far outweighs the people that do. This is no coincidence, they just don't believe anything will change and I'm willing to bet they're right. Every election I have voted in hasn't exactly given me a sense of accomplishment, maybe this is because our only choice is one of two idiots that don't give two shits about their fellow citizens but certainly have their own personal agendas.

The whole system needs to be reset back to what our forefather's intended our country to be like; a country where people have rights and everyone has an equal voice. Free of political corruption and legal bribery (a.k.a. "Lobbying"). We need to learn how to agree to disagree and work on what is best for EVERYONE, not just one group of people that seem to share one idea.

If anyone can honestly say that our forefather's would be happy with what our government has become since it was founded, then they need to explain to everyone why they decided to get high today.

  15. Best one of all... on Your Favorite Support Anecdote · · Score: 0
I have one that tops them all. About a year ago I was working with a buddy of mine who happened to be a total smart ass. One day the blonde big chested bimbo at our company was complaining about her computer being slow, and guess who happened to be standing there.

He proceeded to tell her that the reason her computer was so slow is because she needed a flux capacitor. Now to any normal half way intelligent person this would be an obvious joke, but not to her. Apparently she has never seen the movie, but I won't make fun of her for that. I prefer to make fun of her for trusting what this smart ass told her.

After he got done telling her that he came back to his desk near mine and told me I might be receiving an email from her. He then told me the entire story, which I kind of wrote off until I received the following email from her:

I was talking to Justin and he said I should request a Flux Capacitor (whatever that is - he said some sort of computer nerd talk for a place to save stuff... you'd know apparently) to save my files too (before my computer dies and I lose it all...) I told him you game me a folder on the network through your computer to save stuff too (but I put complete stuff there, not the stuff I'm currently working on 'cause it seems redundant to save things multiple times while I'm working on them.)

    So what do you think?

I laughed for an hour because I couldn't believe she actually fell for it. People like that give people like me job security.
