I highly doubt this would work - the object of a P2P network is to "peer-review" the files that get transferred. If you get a crappy copy of a file, most people delete it. Therefore, when one searches, the most popular results will most likely be the correct file and not the bad one.
But when results are posted publicly, they normally don't include the student's name, father's name, and mother's name...at least not in my experiences =P
Very cool...if I could get to the article without registering, I'd consider reading it and determining if this is anything more than the Word spell/grammar check function. But I can't, so I won't.
I'd imagine the taxes will be quite large; the state isn't going to let Vonage come in and undersell the market. If this caught on tax-free, they'd be expected to get a significant portion of the market...now who knows
But the big question remains: will the radio still work after an accident? Anyone ever notice in those shows you see about car accident rescues (Rescue 911, cops, etc.), everytime they arrive at the scene of an accident, the radio is NEVER on?
I just bought a new JVC head unit for my car, and I was pleased to see that it has true shuffle play. Plays mp3s...can shuffle through the whole cd, or just one folder. I was thinking just the way you are when I first bought it, and the other day I put it on random, and it suddenly switched folders. I then realized that it had played all 50 songs in the first folder, then switched to the next.
"Personally, and I believe I speak for many old farts here, I appreciate listening to music, be it an opera or a pop album, in the sequence in which the artist decided to present it," he said.
That's good and all, but being a 'young fart' myself, random makes much more sense. With the portability of music nowadays (iPods, etc.), we tend to hear a lot more music throughout the day. The only way I listen to music is on random, otherwise I'd hear the beginning of a (cd, folder) a hell of a lot, and never hear the tracks towards the end of the playlist. Imagine hearing the first two minutes of song one EVERYTIME you left a class...how dull.
And you thought red light cameras were bad. Think about using technology such as this to find out a distance traveled in a certain amount of time. If each tag is tied to a specific vehicle, you could be getting all sorts of traffic citations in the mail. I think this is a horrible idea...
Since Microsoft dropped the price of the Xbox, I've been waiting for the PS2 to follow. I would honestly run out and buy one this afternoon if they matched the $149 price, or even better, $129. Any speculation on if/when this will happen? If not soon, I'm just gonna get an Xbox.
When I was a teenager, I once took six caffeine pills prior to going to school. I was sent home two hours later...sweating, shaking, nautious, and basically a complete wreck.
Took me a good 8 hours to recover. Sucks when you're so jittery yet tired, and can't sleep for the life of you (pun intended).

it's easy to see the natural evolution into full-fledged flamewars on /.
...and will be hobbled to prevent more than three applications running concurrently.
Sounds like any other version of a Microsoft OS.

"...work stations contain nearly 400 times as many microbes than lavatories."
That seems fitting.

"Motion Picture Ass. Head Jack Valenti said he hoped it would 'send a clear signal such crimes will not be tolerated'."
Suppose it's better than being an asshat.

Or your turn signal could just be burnt out =)
