    I somehow doubt they would let you play dvd's/movies on the drivers lcd screen. It wouldn't even be let on the road if it allowed drivers to do that.

    Ok, perhaps I shouldnt have said 'never', perhaps unlikely. I can see certain advantages reading things on a PDA - as you said, reading during boring classes/lectures and such.

    It's just that you need young eyes to like it.

    I believe books themselves will never die, ebooks are great as a delivery service and are incredibly useful for research - but it won't ever extend to novels and the like. So certain aspects of the libraries we know today wont exist - but a large part of it will.

    Aside from being on a mobile phone. I've seen modified metronomes that do this, but can spell out long sentences - of course they aren't designed for long distances. Several slashdotters have already pointed out that Disney had a toy that did the same thing.

    Last thing I want is someone waving their arms about in my face when they could get up and walk over to the person and use that thing called a mouth and utilize their own damn vocal cords.
