Let me reply since I actually support a Meraki network. The client already has it before we took them over. So basically on the service its just another networking gear vendor. However when you get into actually supporting it, its pretty nice. Instead of needing access to the internal network to manage things, we login to a central dashboard which is hosted by Meraki themselves. Because the device configuration is replicated on their servers then the support experience is different and improved because by simply knowing your account and the proper authorization, they can see your entire configuration. Furthermore the devices all talk to each other and of course to the dashboard. Now Cisco has this with its wireless controller hardware but its nowhere as easy to manage. Meraki has downsides too. One feature is an agent which tracks all the network devices both on and off the network. The agents exist for Windows, Mac IOS and Android. While the feature is cool, its now adding another thing which needs to be managed. They've had bugs too which were not very friendly to figure out like one that just randomly rebooted the firewall every so often. Overall though the experience has been good. If Cisco can integrate the best features of Meraki into its products then maybe the barrier to managing Cisco devices will finally go away.
Haha, welcome to Slashdot where logic and reason are quickly thrown out when they don't agree with the consensus. I agree with you that what you say may actually happen. Even more interesting is that Hamas is shooting rockets at Jerusalem which means they might hit their own people and destroy their own mosque. This would be Irony at the finest.
TPM isn't even initialized by default and most of the time its turned off. Second of all, its mostly used for Encryption and even then you can edit the policy so that it only checks the most basic things in order to pass audit.
Classic! Actually, this transitions nicely into my only response to this story. They just need to raise postage rates across the board. Ya, they have employee and Union issues but so do the other carriers. Only the USPS delivers letters and bulk mail for so cheap and they need to stop it.
As someone who works on fixing all kinds of devices from Macs to PCs and iPhones to Andoid, let me say that most of the time iPhones DO work as intended but when they fail, they just make you want to throw them against a hard surface and light them on fire. When they break, they just break so spectacularly. Usually, they can't even be fixed until an update get pushed out. That's the real difference. With iWhatever, you usually are not going to be able to fix it yourself.
Its funny because Apple must not like network connections in General. They routinely break wifi with updates. Not only on their phones but also on iMacs and other devices too. Of course you can plug those devices into the network which brings up an incident I had with an iMac about 5 years ago where the network interface would fail intermittently every so often. Of course with a normal computer you can just put an add in card. With the iMac, it just had to go in the recycle bin.
I have an Original Droid Incredible by HTC. The phone has a flaw which means a very small amount of space is allowed for apps to store data in even though you can upgrade the actual memory. In other words, adding an 8GB flash means that you still can't have more apps. So I did some creative hacking to "fix" this problem and now I cannot get OTA updates. I'm stuck on Android 2.2. However, I wouldn't call it utter crap. I can run every app I've tried to run with the exception of one. That one app is Microsoft SmartGlass. Other then that, 2.2 still does everything I want it to do and that's pretty awesome.
Just curious, did you make corporal before you got out?
What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Look at Mercs. They get paid better for entry level jobs then most Sergeants (E-5/E-6) get paid.
We know how well that works for police. They never get away with crimes, ever.
Quote for Truth. When the Police get investigated they get put on paid leave, then they have Unions which work to make sure the least amount of information is released and a Police Chief whose best interest it is in to get the name of the office cleared etc. etc. Its a system ripe for abuse.
So you expect him to hold on to an expired license before the law to require it was even drafted?
Jesus, you people are dense.
Yes, Yes, I do. When I was in college I didn't have a Driver's License. I had to still go to the DMV and get an ID issued from them. If you are not going to go do that when you stop driving then you better hold onto the old license.
Sooner or later the west is gonna wake up and accept that Islam and the west are simply incompatible and that we should be pursuing a policy of containment just as we did with communism.
You don't need to pursue a policy of containment.
The Islamists are mostly isolationsists and just want the Western world to leave them alone.
But as long as there is oil, Israel, and strategic supply routes, they'll never get their wish.
Nice try but no. Islam is spreading through violent means all across Africa. Muslims in the UK want their own laws and their own Courts. They definitely do not just want to be left alone. They want to establish a theocracy in every country they inhabit which happens to be just about most countries in the world.
Very few people get their cars to 300k miles because its so far out of any warranty period that any major repair is going to make you rethink why you are keeping this thing around when you could be driving something new for marginally more. I think the 150k to 250 k mile mark is a decent goal. Remember that city driving really wears on a car a lot more too.

This is Hamas though. They are widely known to be waging a proxy war. Who they are a proxy for changes with the wind.
a lot of cults.
I don't think that word means what you think it means.

"From what source do I get my information, and how many levels of mediation are between me and the original source".
You will find that your experience and understanding are built upon layers of unproven trust.
Said the Pot to the Kettle.

So then you make trademark more defined and harder to get granted. In the end maybe only Logos and Names get trademarks.

So if Hyundai lies about it's cars fuel efficiency, you go and discuss this at your gas station, right?
Strike that. Reverse it.

Yes, but then you have Jury foremen who ignore judges orders and well things just go downhill from there...
You know what? Design Patents shouldn't exist at all. If something is that synonymous with your brand then trademark it. Otherwise GTFO.

That isn't informative. Dead people get caught voting all the time. Who do you think is actually doing the voting?
So you expect him to hold on to an expired license before the law to require it was even drafted?

Seriously. Like we need another set of hardware stuck on some unsupported version of OS X.
You're not one of those Pacifists are you?
You don't understand American Politics nor what left and right mean in context. Slashdot is definitely left leaning.

Terrorists are scum of the earth. You have to fight fire with fire. They use asymmetric warfare and this is how we compensate.

Except that warranty they come with.
