There are some time gaps in your story as well as some interesting events that took place. Could your post have been any more one-sided? For one thing, how exactly is it stealing when many nations worth of companies invested in their oil extraction infrastructure but some how not worth mentioning when the Iranians Nationalized assets that belonged to foreign corporations?
As someone who has read all those link... the whole revolution had more to do with Iran wanting to reneg on its contracts with the Oil companies and "Nationalize" AKA Steal via contract fraud all the rights to their own oil.
Sorry, that argument doesn't fly. We would not be in the Middle East if they could learn to behave themselves. However have a theocracy is almost always a bad idea because the religious leaders almost always become corrupted to the point of no return and then cause strife for their own country and those around them. Then their neighbors beg us to intervene. Trust me, I'd rather we didn't have to but isolationism doesn't work. I know because we tried it.
That's a pretty well crafted straw-man argument. You didn't quote anybody nor did you name any names but you managed to throw a whole political party under the bus without actually quoting and then refuting a single thing they said. You Sir or Madam win an Internet!
That's nice and all. I think what gets people worked up is when some of the "solutions" are worse then the problem. We don't just need to act; we need to act intelligently.
A steady stream of meltwater through spring is a good thing, a flash flood isn't. Some areas are going to get drier, some are going to get far too much water.
Since this IS civilization we are talking about and we can perform some form of central planning, how about we stop building homes in flash flood channels? Just a thought.
Wouldn't the different densities not matter because of the whole thing with it displacing the same amount of water because of its mass? To explain it another way, if it is more dense then it will displace more water when ice but then the same when melted and if it is less dense then it will also displace less water and the same lesser amount when it melts. Plus dense fresh water sinks which then allows it to mix quickly which then evens out the whole thing.
Best Buy asks "If you owned a business and an employee stole a packet of gum, would you fire them if it was the first offense"? If you answer no, then no job for you. Don't worry, in 5 years Best Buy won't exist.
The whole "disparate impact" thing is a holdover from the jim crow laws. The point is if we can prove that the intent of a hiring practice, voting requirement, license granting, etc. is to weed out people who are frauds or who are not qualified then the whole "disparate impact" argument should take a flying leap.
I think it is more telling that the tech support didn't already know that the model in question in fact did not HAVE link lights. They only support 50-60 models of routers in their entirety with maybe 4-5 making up the bulk of the tech support requests. Its not too much to expect them to actually look at at the manual if they are not familiar with that model before posting their form response.
Haha, see the Episode of the "IT Crowd" where they keep calling and getting French tech support. They can't understand anything he is saying because of his accent.
I know I'm responding to an AC so this is pointless but I do have to take issue. Murder rates are not linked to Gun Proliferation; they are linked to people who want to murder.
Yes, I get the commercial part of it. I take all manner of photos that I cannot sell. I just think museums need to be concerned about the availability of their artwork to the public. Of course they are going to charge for people to walk through their air conditioned halls. But they should allow some photographers who are willing to do work under the public domain or CC to photograph the work and release it. That's what I do.
Considering most journalists just reword releases from AP or Reuters, I think getting them to read a 150 to 800 page scientific report is basically hopeless.
Ok, well let me clear it up. I don't have control over any servers I can set up my zone on. I don't have dedicated or virtual dedicated or physical servers of any kind. I have GoDaddy registration, DNS, and web hosting. The point here is this; how do I avoid relying on GoDaddy's DNS servers as the sole path to resolve DNS to my domaiin name? Keeping in mind I don't have any servers.

There are vast socioeconomic consequences of people not having kids. The collapse of Social Security is one great example.

You know how nobody finds Joe Biden's jokes funny? Well take that principle and apply it.

Well they already do it with Video Games in an attempt to stifle the secondary market. Higher Ed is just the next frontier.
Exactly! I know I've photographed in museums before but only before getting caught. Then its like, "stop taking photos or we'll throw on the street".
Which is interesting because they DO want Intranet and Internet zones to be set to high. This is absurd.
Sadly, yes.

Notice that the article has existed for a LONG time and there were no riots. Maybe because people know its true?

U.S. Federal Court judges are from California. In addition they are one of the most overturned courts around. They love to legislate from the bench.
Thanks for the information. I'll dig a little more and see if I can get it to work.
It looks like you may be right. At least that is what GoDaddy is saying now. http://www.datacenterknowledge.com/archives/2012/09/11/go-daddy-network-issues-not-hackers-or-ddos-caused-outage/
