I didn't find any women in my bed this morning, they must not exist! Seriously, how extensive do you think the search has been? For life on other planets, that is?
I am afraid not. When designed for multiple cycles of assembly/disassembly the screws have to be larger, and the length of engagement increased to reduce the chances of stripping the threads. The laptop cannot use screws engaged into plastic, inserts or stronger material is required. This is a great idea in theory that just won't translate to reality.
You are accusing/. collectively of not being philosophically self-consistent, but you are wrong. Speaking for those who you have mischaracterized. We do not want the government to be involved in things in which they have no business. The government has no business spying on us (privacy) - our Bill of Rights says so, the government has no business prosecuting this idiot - the kids and their parents are the only ones who should be involved - in a civil suit.
The parents of the children in the movies cited are involved in what is tantamount to child prostitution/slavery. They took money and provided their innocent children for the same purposes as this guy has been charged, but those children were actually present during the performance. Child abuse is okay when it is done for money? There is not a "big difference" from a government perspective, or at least there should not be. The argument that certain behavior is is acceptable only when it is for commercial purposes, only is not consistent with anything the founders of this country ever wrote. I will say it again, this is a civil matter.
Fortunately the judge who set the bail at only $5000.00 seems to have realized that this is a witch hunt.
I don't have an iPhone, iPod, or iPad, and I do not like the idea of being charged $4.00 instead of $3.00 because they raised the price for all their customers so Apple could skim 30% from iPhools. How would you like it if your cable bill went up 30% because the manufacturer of your TV wanted a cut? You use your car to get to work, how about paying 30% of your wages to the auto maker?
I don't want to pay Apple 30%! Is there an app for that?
How much does one suffer from having to view media at 480P or 540P? I don't see this as a very forceful shove for many people, and HDCP and ICT do not stop the content altogether - they only degrade the resolution. If you are watching on cable or streaming, the content is frequently compressed to this level anyway to reduce bandwidth, I can see a huge difference in some programs between OTA and cable.
They would not have put ICT into the Blu-Ray spec unless they intended to use it. HDCP was approved by the FCC in August 2004, (it was part of the DVI spec in 1999) anybody paying attention would not have bought a device without HDMI (or DVI) since then. ICT is not new, here is a discussion on the same issue five years ago http://www.myce.com/news/Most-major-studios-back-off-ICT-downscaling-on-next-gen-DVDs-11677/. At the time no Blu-Ray media had the flag turned on although some HD-DVD media did. The article speculates that the ICT flag would be turned on "several years later"..."to get those with incompliant TVs to think of buying a new set... " Several years has arrived, and it is no surprise to many of us.
You are so right. Congress has in the last few decades always made sure that legislation has winners and losers. If things are equitable, then the campaign contributions are so much smaller.
There are plenty of moderates in the Republican party, unfortunately they vote the party line instead of their conscience or that of their constituency. On that point members of both parties are equally guilty. Our two party system has stifled any real dialogue - there can only be two possible views, and of course one of them is the minority view and thus can be ignored. I agree with your basic sentiment, but I think condemning the Republicans without condemning the Democrats is a little like discussing Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy and only citing Ted as evil.
And yet he entered a plea agreement on the charges. FTFA: "The only smart thing Adams did was sign a plea agreement last week for both the rape and solicitation to commit murder charges." That is a pretty strong indication that he was serious.
I know this is/. but seriously? From the article: "The only smart thing Adams did was sign a plea agreement last week for both the rape and solicitation to commit murder charges. " I realize that was at the bottom of the fourth paragraph and all. There is no defense after pleading out. Since he is guilty, maybe the police didn't make a bigger deal of it than necessary. You should probably get checked for ADHD.
Apple does not sell ALAC files, they sell AAC - so it is an issue.
Jamming is used when smuggling cellphones into prisons. It has also been proposed as a solution to smuggled cellphones in prison.
BSOD.

Make no mistake - without a magnetic field, life would most definitely not exist on this planet.
That is a statement rooted in faith, not in science.
Because we can colonize Mars without displacing indigenous life.
In New Orleans, the correct term is not ground, it is river bed.

That would be about as effective as DRM.

Note that being moderated Funny doesn't help your karma. You have to be smart, not just a smart-ass.

If U RTFA 1st post is 2 hard 2 get.
We tend to shoot for clever or snarky instead of meaningful;)
Since 9/11 Security amounts to foreplay.
Why does it have a muffler? ... DUCK!
To keep its neck warm!
That does not adequately explain the aircraft industry, there is no membership fee for the mile high club.
I'll bet that the commercial or promotional video you saw for your helicopter made it look like it was fully controllable too!

Do you think there is such a party?
The US Government thinks Cyber war is a stupid term now too?!
It must mean we really are at war!
