Keep in mind that that says next to nothing about the amounts of nature and nurture. It does say that homosexuality is not purely genetic in origin. For something that can do both stingy or thudy flogging but minimal damage, try a silicone whip - I have one that looks like it's been made from the core of a bungee cord (lots of fine rubbery strands), but is neon orange. Never had a dissatisfied recipient yet.:)
