  1. Re:Disappointed on Elite Won't Replace Premium or Core Skus · · Score: 1

I'll do the same to you... why buy an Xbox360 Elite if you already have an Xbox360? Chances are if HDMI and the larger hard drive means that much to you, you can sell that wireless adapter along with the old(er) xbox360 and get some/most of your money back from it. Not including the wireless on the Elite was for the same reason MS didn't include it on the others... people will pay $100 for it.

  4. "Post Holiday Slump" on January Game Sales Explode, Wii Dominates · · Score: 1

The reason this month wasn't a slump is because people are still excited about the new consoles (whether it be Wii or PS3). I bet February will be just as strong!

That doesn't mean it isn't good news for the industry though, but I just thought it was a little obvious. However, it's interesting to see that Nintendo seems to be making more units than PS3, or PS3 isn't selling all of their units they make.

  7. No on Amazon Adjusts Prices After Sales Error · · Score: 1

Short answer is "NO", this is not the way it should be. Advertised prices have to be honored. An ad in the newspaper is honored until someone at the store notices it and they put a retraction in the front of the store and on the item in the store. So until Amazon put up the correction, they should honor all things they sold. Lose money, who cares... it will make your developers (if said developers still have jobs) be more careful the next time.

I'm a big fan of Amazon, I order a load of stuff from them--but this is not the correct way to do business.

Also, I think you missed the point--your car's turn signal bulbs don't really waste the electricity used in your home. If you're worried about inefficiency in your car, look behind those bulbs--to the engine.

If you win a game show (i.e. cash), you get the amount left over after tax. Why couldn't/wouldn't the agency that gave this award out also give a $50,000 prize which would probably be taxed in half and still have $25,000 (USD) left over to pay for the "tax" on the trip? Would that even work, if they had been willing to do it?

Well, I agree... and I applaud any parent who would want to take advantage of some sort of "spying" tool to see what there kids are up to... albeit, maybe not as invasive as this tool might be--but I admit I didn't look to see what the tool does. However, keeping tabs on your child's online activity is not a bad thing.

The article didn't give much of an overview of the game (as stated that they did not get a chance to get the storyline), but I'd say "good" from what I speculate the game is about. I'd imagine it's about being the killers, and that is just sick. Everyone hates that video games are "the cause of violence", per certain lawmakers--but this type of game just fuels that fire.

In a very sensitive area of school-related violence, Columbine is one of the biggest--and also happens to have a violent video game associated with it--DOOM.

I'm not against violent video games, I happen to enjoy quite a few myself. But the idea of an RPG where the player is becoming one of these 2 kids is sickening. It's not "too soon", it will never be time for a game like this. I guess it's a double standard to say that reliving WW2 in so many FPS games is the same idea, but to me being a kid going through a school killing your peers is something nobody should WANT to do...
