typical microsoft product development strategy.
1. Look at what software / gadget's hot in the market.
2. Rip the idea and turn it around in any shape or form.
3. Tell the market this is what they need.
4. Profit... muwahaha
It's ridiculous that just because the information is in electronic format and doesn't cost the Govt 'almost' any money to access it (apart of my hard earned money paid in tax), that they get their hands on it.
shouldn't the same laws apply to them as entering in my house and snooping on my mail?!
I think this is a great move by Cisco as it gives them a good leverage in the video surveillance/recording industry and allied products and technologies and services.
Given their dominance in the Networking market, I guess, we'd see cheaper/better products to stream videos on the net and may be quite a few new technologies brought out by them, creating new parallels in a market where there is a high degree of segmentation between various products and services provided by the current manufacturers/organizations as no one holds a huge market share in a co-related market to come up with or enforce a set of protocols/products that work out of the box/ are easy to manage and cost around a few cups of coffee.
If Cisco can do that, then, I'd say they're on solid ground for making good money for another decade...
on an Oracle affiliated site! Oh, it's very transparent and connects to well document studies, doesn't it?
No?
Anyways, we'll just take their word and say SAP's TCO is almost double that of Oracle's similiar offerings!?
Similiar?
Does anything from Oracle even stack up close to SAP's offerings?
Nope! is the one word answer, no matter which camp you belong to, you cannot bring up a product that seamlessly brings together all aspects of a business as SAP does.
All the modules can be individually customized and presented to the customer for his choosing whenever he wants to use that part of the package.
No, it's not a battle royale, Fusion, never was and will never come close to where SAP is in the market today.
High Costs!?!
What's that, do you say a piece of code is costly just because it initially costs higher!?
Have you ever worked in a company where SAP was implemented, do some costing for such a company and then come back and post on the cost savings they've had in their departments after implementing SAP, yes a few implementations do go pear shaped but this is generally not the case.
I don't know about Zoellner's previous jobs but certainly can't find anything on google relating him to know anything that he claims to know about SAP.
what are you twenty years in the past or sumthin'?
this has been proved beyond doubt for quite sumtime now... yeah but maybe not in the year that you're posting from!
don't send him any money or information!!!! he's a fake! A person having an address in Nigeria and no spelling mistakes in his communication cannot be trusted.

YES! It is very very wonderful distro, much better than Redhat. I've installed and run everything from knoppix to mandrake to redhat to around 3 more distros PLUS suse 8.something and 9.something now... and its just gr8.... comes along with ease, automatically detects almost everything that i've had on my machines and YaST is gr8!!!!
It certainly is my distro of choice...
I would say that M$ might be right when the consider Novell as their biggest threat, they have a good distro and put their marketing muscle and world wide channels behind it, they might come back on top (once again!)
Somebody's recently learnt a few buzzwords, bought a blender, put everything together and just 'mashed' it up to come up with this article!

looks like their site is already suffering from the now-infamous soon-to-be-included-in-dictionary term: slashdot effect. google cache is here
The registration page (that doesn't open up anymore) is here.
only 10GB???
100GB will be enough for everybody...?
solicited emails from p0rn sites, you mean?
What about the 5min average slashdot fix?
shouldn't that be 50 or 500 mins?
