  1. America, land of corporate media on Libertarian Candidate Excluded From Debate For Refusing Corporate Donations · · Score: 1

  2. When are we going to take China seriously ? on Counterfeit Air Bag Racket Blows Up · · Score: 1

Neither candidate has the integrity to do so.

Everyone's been in such a hurry to do business with China and India, nobody is prepared to make certain that standards are followed or that products are safe.

Dead pets from contaminated pet food, putrid, spoiled "Danish" buttercookies made in Ching Chang Chung sold at major drug stores, everybody saw the big profit potential but nobody bothered to do what needed to be done to guarantee safety, and nobody has ant real legal recourse when they're harmed.

Once again, American greed has been exploited to bankrupt the nation, and flood the markets with inferior products, with very little to no government regulation or oversight.

Products that break and war out fast, no real customer service, and a lot of garbage - that's what these Chinese imports have given us.

Enjoy the throw-away global culture built on the cheap labor of low wage overseas slaves, make excuses for the real spoils of American greed and corportocarcy, but don't pretend you don't know or can't see where all this is going to lead.

    You don't get it.

Monsanto could, and probably will pull this off; the assumption that they are not a threat, do not have the kind of all-encompassing power and ties to make this happen is naive. Look how far they've managed to corrupt the system up to this point.

They've had plenty of time to "manage" this issue to work in their favor.

Attempts to patent all sorts of seed of all sorts of plants and gain control of agriculture has been an ongoing issue, not just with Monsanto, but with several big players.

It can happen, and it probably will happen HERE, in the US.

Because they don't hate us for our freedom, they hate us for our rampant corruption and complacency, for our widespread corporate greed, and for our domination of the world enforced by our military for corporate hire.

This isn't just about the Ag industry, it's about going after anyone that's a perceived threat. And the biggest threat to Big Pharma is India's spice and herb trade. People who eat good food based on good herbs don't require perpetual medical intervention. People who subsist on a food supply that consists primarily of synthetic adulterants do.

Monsanto winning this is going to be worse than really bad. It's going to be a global disaster.

    And it's going to happen.

I hope that I'm wrong. I doubt that I am.

The other sobering thing is that this incident tells me is that your first line of detection is just as likely to be someone that people may not necessarily pay any attention to at all, and that if someone eventually does listen to them, you can be certain that the parties responsible (large corporations) will always claim that they knew about it at the same time and took measures to address the "problem"; which means little more than they covered their asses from any possible litigation than actually doing anything responsible to determine the real scope and severity of the problem they caused.

And a lot of people own "large bombs" in the form of propane tanks, car gas tanks and the like. It isn't the object that is the hazard, it's the misuse of it that makes it a hazard.

The activities are ALREADY banned; what you are arguing for and justifying (poorly) is banning objects of which only a TINY percentage of them are used to do something that is already criminal.

A more appropriate analogy would be that I can shove a potato into a vehicle tailpipe, and do a remarkable amount of damage to the vehicle that costs a lot of money to replace, perhaps even do this to emergency vehicles like fire trucks and ambulances and police cruisers. It's already illegal to do that, but let's make possession of potatoes a felony just to make some politicians and government officials feel significant and productive.
